I seriously doubt it. Bush wants MORE popularity, not less.

He does want more popularity but he wants to win this war more. He's a war hawk and thats whats gonna lead him to the end. So we all will go down with him eventually and unfortunitly.

I think they should include women into the draft, too. Remember,  GRL POWER!!!

They've taken up hockey, basketball, and pretty much any other major league sport, so why not the draft, too?

That would be feminism's real test. So ya wanna bitch about not getting equal pay? Yet ya want us to pay for everything? Well how would ya like the right to be able to get drafted.

...Sorry feminazi's bother me.

i dont think a draft is necesary for a war with iraq. but if we go for north korea i think its a definite possibility. if we win this war with iraq then we will need people to occupy the country, just like afghanistan, sure it was a quick victory but we're going to be occupying the country for years.. so we'd be spreading ourselves pretty thin even after victory, and i think a lot of people are under the false impression that we have a very large army. this is not true, we dont have a very big army. if we do go to war with north korea then its pretty much going to be ww3. not because north korea can take us on, but because im guessintg china will get involved. sure we could take north korea easily, but do you think china would want to share a border with a united states occupied country? definitely not, and north korea said they are ready to strike american military targets all over the world, and they certainly have the capability. even with conventional artillery north korea can attak targets in south korea and japan, not to mention the west coast of the united states. so since they wont be able to hit us hard, they threatened to attack south korea and japan. so south korea, japan, north korea, united states, and china, sounds like a world war to me. im telling you north korea should be left untouched for the time being. its not a very good idea and tony blair is a douchebag.

errr sorry, i dont see an edit button so let me correct my mistake.

north korea can attack south korea and japan with conventional weapons

and the west coast of the united states with ICBM's (inter continental ballistic missiles) they have the range of i think 6200 miles.

if it was a war between north korea and america alone there is no way north korea could take us on. sure theyre a militaristic country, but their air force and navy simply can not compete. and there is no way for them to really attack us, so they will go for our allies instead. so if nk and america were fighting alone, do you honestly believe that nk could win? there is no chance. dont be naive and try to challenge something thats a near fact.

When, in my single sentence reply, did you see the phrase "America would lose"? I said, and I repeat, that there is no fucking way America's military could defeat NK's in anything approaching an EASY VICTORY.

Clear? Understand.

Edit: I'm toning down my intital reply, as I'm in a bad mood this morning, and you're about to receive the brunt of my vitriolic spew.

Dude, have you ever heard of "nuclear weapons?"

What are you smoking? Do you honestly think NK will hesitate to unleash their arsenal if they're attacked?

And no, there is no such thing as "fighting one on one." If the US attacks NK, there will be a lot more than just the two of them involved.

Also, where are your justifications for such an act? Do you think the President has the right to simply attack a country whenever he feels like it? Or do you think Congress would actually authorize such a thing? This isn't the blasted Cold War, kid: people actually criticize the government, and loudly at that. I'm assuming someone in there still listens to the people (which hasn't been so much of a given lately by far, unfortunately).
