I really love the Eagles. But then, I've always avoided the radio. Any time I do hear a radio station, it's usually one of the local "classic rock" stations, where you can't go more than 20 minutes without hearing an Eagles song, a Led Zeppelin song, or one of the only three Van Morrison songs that gets airplay ("Brown Eyed Girl", "Wild Nights", and "Moondance". Ferfucksake, the man is talented, and has recorded over 300 songs, and those are the only three I have ever heard on the radio!).
At any rate, while I dig the Eagles, I can totally understand where Ivan is coming from. There are entire bands that got so overexposed for me in the 80s (and again, I'm not even one for listening to the radio much, and wasn't back then either) that I can't stand any songs by any of those bands to this day, just due to my being totally disgusted at a handful of tracks that got run completely into the ground.
For what it's worth, I've always been glad that the Eagles never got worn out for me, thankfully.
Oh, and my favourite Eagles song is "Seven Bridges Road".
