Not unless the Religion you convert from states that it's acceptable.

I doubt such a Religion exists, in spite of similar comparisons to that extent.

not only does it kill but makes people bloody mental.
plus christianity is the worst, they should quit taking other religious beliefs and twisting it to their own!!!

Well, Christians haven't co-opted Halloween yet. It's still pretty profane.

And I think it was a Winter Solstice celebration that Christmas piggy-backed on -- not really a sacred occasion for the pagans, but more of an excuse to party.

In any case, it seems to me like Christians have long ago "quit taking other religious beliefs and twisting it to their own". Unless you detect some vague Buddhist overtones in Vatican II.
