A British teenager has been banned from America for life for sending Barack Obama an abusive email.

I saw that too, but really doubt it's because he called the President a prick. Hell, I've called him worse before and I have yet to be banned. I wonder what the real reason was?

Unless "Prick" is some mortal insult in Sheng or Arabic.

At the bottom of the story is the following line, "...abusive and threatening language..." (emphasis mine).  I'm willing to bet that he didn't get banned from the US for calling Obama a prick.  It's far more likely that he made some kind of threat against the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES (again, emphasis mine :) ).

Yeh, ok. So what I get out of this is that an email from a drunk teenager in the UK is more of a potential threat than 360 degrees of wide open border...

The real answer is at BC but it relates to the BC/DC convention back in whenever that was '03? '04? '05? somewhere in that long ago time.

Holy shit, FUCK YOU PAT!

I barely even remember why that was said, but I remember him being on the john at the time, and that was related... somehow. Awesome times. That was the time that I learned why putting beer in a Camelbak doesn't work (to wit, it's carbonated, and the pack doesn't do well with the pressure).

Monk was on his way to the bathroom and Pat slipped in there in front of him.  Monk yanked the door open while Pat was peeing and started screaming Fuck You's at him.  There had to be 15 or 20 of us in the room...stunned.

Oh...for those of you who don't know the real names...Pat's our friend who had a visit from the secret service that one time.
