I know there are a few people here that have some skills and style when it comes to images. Any of you guys up for making a new link button other than the old crap one that I made in about 10 seconds?

The dimensions are 90 x 35 pixels. I posted the old one incase any of you are thinking "There was a link button?"

Ah, Lacerda has nothing but time on his hands. He must train himself to stay awake into the early hours of the morning, for now he works nightshift. Let him see what he can do.

And now I cease speaking in 3rd person.

Garg...I liked living off the savings of my last job (I was a cable help desk guy/ sarcastic video store man for a year and a half) but now the money has run out and I need to pay for school.

I am so ridiculously overqualified for this. I move boxes!

He said, modestly.

I needed a job. Badly.

There is no way I could now support this site without a job, and if I lose my job I've only got a month to find one before I start running into some problems.

Oh yea, not to mention some other computer stuff that I bought which ran me well over 300 dollars. :(

I should try some Pay Pal links around the site and see what happens. But I don't think half of the 13-year-olds here even have a dollar to spare given drugs, shoes, 85-dollar pairs of jeans, gel, and God knows what else they waste it on.

Heeyyyyyyy.... I did that for almost a year while I was going to school in Virginia.  I worked in a Food Lion in Norfolk, which mostly involved moving boxes and ordering product.  Wheee.

Oh, and I got paid $7.50 an hour to do it.  More wheee.  By the time I left, I was up to $8.00 an hour.  At that point, my mind was pretty much mush, so I didn't really notice.

Oh, and I worked with a bunch of people whose highest aspirations involved moving around boxes in a grocery store.  You can imagine how great they were to work with for a year. Hell, that was back in 1996... I bet most of them are still there, too.  Ooooh!  I bet some of them are almost up to $10.00 an hour!

Wheee.

*shudders*

I hope I can find a job soon.  One that doesn't involve my local grocery store.  I've already done my time in one of those... I really don't think I deserve more of it....

One of my favourite jobs, thus far in life, had me moving countless boxes from point A to point B. I worked for Toys-R-Us, when I just got out of the military, needed the cash. The coolest part about it was, I worked on a midnight shift with very limited supervision, and some other cool people(about six)......Well have you ever seen that movie(Career Opportunities), where the kid stocks shelves and cleans up, so the stores good to go in the morning. That was me. It started off being hired for the holidays, and after they trimmed the crew down to three people (me being one) During christmas it was alot of wor, but after it was a frigg'in party. We'd turn off all the lights and play laser tag, or have big wheel drag races, play the demo video games, basically play with toys. (as long as the store was ready to go by the morning)

That might have something to do with the reason I still, "Don't want to grow up, because I'm a toy-r-us kid, there's million...........

*turns off computer, and goes home, from present job,  humming that stupid song still etched into his head*

That sounds like a good idea when I need to find another job other than my current McDonald's one. Or maybe working at the local Best Buy, that would be nice.

But both include working with the public, and the public generally sucks. Especially around here.

hey at least you won't have to greet your costumers when they enter and adhere to the sacred ritual of "HI" (pause) would you like to try one of our subway selects today? I pray they don't make me the greeter, actually slicing bread and putting meat and cheese on it, isn't that hard. but being cheerful is

I've always wanted to work the counter of some store and as the customer leaves, instead of saying the usual "Have a nice day", just come out with "Have a shitty day!" and see what their reaction is.

Instead  of "Have a shitty day!", try saying "Your pants are completely transparent to me!".

Then you'll get a reaction.

Probably get even more reaction if you slip in "I spit in that!" as they're walking off...
