My weekend has started early!  Well, I'm mowing the lawn now, but after that, it's party time!

Driving up to Atlantic City tomorrow morning.  Enrique is driving separately.  We're meeting his parents and brother there to celebrate his parents 35th wedding anniversary.  Then salsa dancing and gambling!!

Saturday I'm leaving Enrique in AC for his bachelor party and driving (very likely it will be slowly) up to Long Island for hanging out with my dad on Saturday night and then having my wedding shower on Sunday!!!  I hope we don't have to play any fruity games.  Then it's back here on Monday.

I checked Wicked by Gregory Maguire and The Hobbit on tape/CD for the drive.  Psyched, I tell you, that's what I am!!

You can post what you're doing this weekend, but I'm probably going to be too busy to read it.

The bad thing is, I just dropped the big can of tomato puree and before it hit the floor, it hit the counter and got all over my face, in my hair, on my shirt and down my leg.  I got out of my tomato flavored clothes (and put regular flavored ones on) and now I have to go clean up the mess in the kitchen.

The good thing is....I smell really good.



PS.  Tomato puree really stings when you get it in your eyes.

Uh....research.   Just curious, really.  Enrique thinks the average is lower than I do.

Let's say you were limited to beer and wine.  How many would you drink between 6 and 11 pm on a Saturday?

Every morning, I hear Liz Bonis, who has a one minute snipit on the radio, on my way to work.  She tells me awesome things, like that the research shows that eating kale reduces the risk of cancer dramatically.  I figure I'll try to share what she says each day.  I won't have all the details that she gives because I can't write it down.

Today she said that mushrooms are really good for you.  They did research where they put mushrooms on cells and it helped the fighter cells get more fight, which is good against viruses (some that cause cancer).

I don't like mushrooms though.  I'm not sure how I can incorporate that into my diet.  Well...whenever a recipe calls for mushrooms, I usually just leave them out.  But I think from now on that I will puree them up so that I get the taste and the benefits but not the texture of it.

This weekend, I made stuffed shells with mozzarella, ricotta, egg and chopped up kale.  It was really good!

My scanner is busted and I really needed something scanned.  So I went to Staples and they charged me two bucks. Whatever.

Well, I'm home now and trying to look at it but it's so big that it won't even open in the one photo editor that Enrique has on his computer.  What can I do to make it smaller if I can't even open it?

I can't email it to the guy like this.

I'm getting married!!   

Enrique is taking part is taking part in a "womanless beauty pageant" to help raise money for a local woman's shelter.  A bunch of guys dress up like chicks and people pay money to laugh at them and pick the best one.  He's not looking forward to it AT ALL.  So I have to do alot of the legwork here.

Right now I'm trying to come up with a name for him.  Something with a Spanish flare.  I came up with Havana Salsa and Linda Mann ("Linda", of course, means "beautiful" in Spanish), but he doesn't want to use either of those first names because...well we have reasons.

I know you guys can come up with some golden ideas.  Ok GO!!!

I was looking on Haxor Central and wanted to see the People of HN gallery.  Every time I click on it though, it flashes the pictures and quickly disappears.  What's up with that?  Is it my browser?

BTW, I know nothing about NCAA basketball.  I just like to pick the teams each year.

So is a flexfit hat better than a fitted cap?  I know it would be easier to purchase as a gift, but will it wind up looking dorky?  Figuring out the size of a fitted cap he would be might be kind of hard.
