Greetings, geeks!
« on: June 15, 2006, 11:51:59 AM »

It's been awhile since I've been able to refer to myself as a n00b.  But I'm glad to have found this new forum and hope it adds valueable information and humor to my daily routine of spending the first two hours at work reading "the dot" and checking my email. hehehe..

In case anyone cares.. (not likely)  I'm 27, Graphic designer/webmaster/NetAdmin. at the small company at which I work, where I am pretty much the only person that knows jack about a computer.  It's a wonderful situation, they're at my mercy.

See you around...

It might be an idea to write all questions in the first post of that topic. And edit it when there is a new question added, offcourse.

I haven't spoken to my mother in about a month, let alone have visited her, because i have no time.  You think I have time for this crap?  If they care enough, they'll click the damn link, copy, then paste.  If not, no welcome from me.

End of story.

You're welcome. And cheer up Detta, what's this 'no welcome', that's not how I know you! Life's too short to be grumpy!

I'm not grumpy.  Just that no one wants to answer my questions.  I used to get the same thing when I used to come up with questions for them right in their intro thread.  It's so disheartening to be igored like that when I'm reaching out.

You're right, I sound like I'm having major female problems.

I don't know what 3 questions you would like for me to answer.....  but I'll make up 3.

What is your quest?  To seek the holy grail (of pr0n and internet supremacy.)
What is your favourite color?  Umm.. blue.
What is the average airspeed velocity of an Unladen Swallow.

To begin with, I needed basic kinematic data on African and European swallow species.

  South African Swallow
(Hirundo spilodera) European Swallow
(Hirundo rustica)
Although 47 of the 74 worldwide swallow species are found in Africa,1 only two species are named after the continent: the West African Swallow (Hirundo domicella) and the South African Swallow (Hirundo spilodera), also known as the South African Cave Swallow.

Since the range of the South African Swallow extends only as far north as Zaire,2 I felt fairly confident that this was the non-migratory African species referred to in previous discussions of the comparative and cooperative weight-bearing capabilities of African and European swallows.3

Kinematic data for both African species was difficult to find, but the Barn or European Swallow (Hirundo rustica) has been studied intensively, and kinematic data for that species was readily available.

That's all for now.....

I never thought I would say this, but I'm actually bored when MPFC is quoted at length.

Not to mention another benefit of searching the linked thread for questions: You really get to know everyone else!
