song:  Museplheim

It's a really beautiful song, possibly my favourite song. The link to listen to it is here, if you're interested.

Hey, guys, let's regulate the internet!

On another random note, I've just realized I cannot function all too well with about three hours of sleep. I'm definitely not a morning person.

Such faith in the interwebs.
I've seen countless examples of stupidity, I've just never come across someone that incoherent. It looked like he rolled his head across his keyboard when he typed that bit.

Cosplay?  Someone explained that a while back.  Wasn't that Cosby show fanfic type of stuff?
If by Cosby-show-fanfic you mean obnoxious, giggling, teenybop girls who live and breathe manga and anime, then yes.

A cat I had about a year ago. Really sweet but couldn't learn to use the litter box, ugh.

Ah...no worries. I like remembering him. His name was Peeler cos his fur was just like your cat's; but the white fur made a little milk mustache- across his top lip, one side of his bottom lip, and down his chin to his chest, lol. Peeler is a brand-name of milk in South Carolina where we're from. *goes to get pics*
Yeah, Boots (hey, didn't name her) has the same little mustache thing going on. She's much bigger now, but is still a relatively small cat. And she's fluffy... I love fluffy cats. :D

I meant heroic strike, not hamstring, can you tell its been a while. And not being main tank I get why you would put it in there.

I always ended up being MT no matter what guild I was in so I always went for pure threat builds.

For pure threat builds, most people go with the exact spec I have except one less point in imp heroic strike and the next in anger management. I generally sport this spec around since I usually do ZA/Karazhan/heroics in my spare time, and when I'm raiding, the only thing I ever mina tank would be the all the bosses in BT from High Warlord Naj'entus to Gorefiend, none of which imp defensive stance will benefit from. If I tanked Reliquary of Souls or when I tank the Flames of Azzinoth, I'll respec. Improved defensive stance is just too situational for me personally to include it in my main build, so I just wait until we get to a fight where it's neeed.

New Geeks on the Block / Re: New guy is new.
« on: March 17, 2008, 05:07:08 PM »
Spec looks good, though I would take the 3 points out of imp Ham string and put it into Imp Def stance. That extra 6% against spells has proved nice for me in the past, and (at my lvl) I was never rage starved in a raid. There I go theory crafting, as such I will continue.
Hamstring? I don't have hamstring. I'm guessing you meant maybe improve sunder armor? Improved sunder armor has become the bread-and-butter for tanking builds since the buff to devastate. It's silly to not have it. I don't have improved defensive stance because this is strictly a threat build. I'm not the main tank, but when I have to main tank for a fight that would make imp defensive stance useful, I respec accordingly.

Why the DMC: Madness. When I was tanking I almost never got the killing blow so I went with the DMC: Vengeance. The +51 stam was awesome and the 10% chance for etra damage is 10% chance for extra threat.
Because it was cheap! I didn't really plan to get a Darkmoon Card, but I saw a deck being sold for 500 gold, which is considerably cheaper than the stamina cards ever go for. Besides, the card, like all my other trinkets, is situational. I normally have my Moroes trinket in the other slot. Maybe one day the Darkmoon Insignia will drop. :(

I find myself enjoying the DPS side of the house after 2 1/2 years of tanking. It is entirely too easy when compared to what I used to do, but its a welcomed change. And link your stuff, cause unless your in Sunwell gear on regular servers theres nothing I haven't seen (that is on other people, I stopped tanking in the T4, just moving into T5 area).
Yeah, understandably. I remember a time when I was impressed just by how good TBC dungeon blues were; now I yawn when I see a tank in full t6.

Armory for my warrior. Note that I specced out of prot and I havent put tank gear on since Oct. to keep myself from getting sucked back into it.

And my mage that I am currently lvling.

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Draenor&n=Shibari

And theorycrafting is fun but only if it involves a couple beers and good friends (since people outside the friend zone tend to take things to the heart too much).
Not bad. My warrior's never been anything but prot. Fury is a bunch of mindless button-mashing and while pvp is a little less mindless because of the need of situational awareness and quick responses, I still find it utterly boring. The only fun I've really found in this game is tanking. And theorycrafting isn't that bad, it just depends on who you discuss it with. If you talk with your average Joe, he's not going to give you much more intelligent discussion than "lol wut." Try going to Tankspot.com. It's a really mature community with correct information on tanking.

Your mage is coming along nicely as well. I leveled one to 61 but got bored.

I'd show you my armory but depending on what sort of gear you have, I'll either appear pretentious or really bad, haha. :P

Draenor/Warrior and Mage/Alliance

I officially quit endgame tanking back in October though. Its been good for my grades/paycheck/penis to go complete casual, though I still clock about 10-15 hours a week logged on.... maybe not "complete" casual.

Oooooh, another tank. Don't get me started with the theorycrafting, heh.

Link the armory!

I think I might fail a little in the geek category, then. I'm neither good with computers or science, I failed all math classes in school, and while I dabble a bit in theology, history, and other similar types of things, I'm not exactly a walking encyclopedia.

I guess I'm just a generic geek. I like obsessing over.. everything, really, I'm interested in. I read entirely too much. I love anything fantasy and would probably do the LARP thing if it meant I didn't have to deal with lisping, overweight teenage girls who think LARP is as thuper-cool as cosplaying as Inyasha. I dabble a bit in video games.. mostly play World of Warcraft, and will probably go with the flow and play whatever new MMO takes over next.

Not to say I'm not interested in science, computers, history, theology, and everything else- I most certainly am, and very enthusiastic about it all.
I'm just lazy.

I just started the Riftwar Saga series, by Raymond E. Feist. It seems a bit like generic fantasy to me, nothing special so far. We'll see.

You read sci-fi and fantasy? Which author do you prefer?
I mostly prefer fantasy, and high fantasy at that. I'm a WoT-head, along with being a fan of ASOIAF, Sword of Truth, Kushiel's Legacy, and a handful of other series and books that most people have never heard of. I'm actually not a big fan of the Star Trek-y sort of sci-fi (I know, kill me), but I do enjoy reading about the future, post-apocalyptic settings, robots, and essentially, any story to do with science. And I do like robots!

I read nonfiction from time-to-time as well, although I don't usually stray far from psychology, politics (satire and serious), and religion. I'm neither religious or political myself, but I'm curious.

Ha! I play too much WoW, and get laid and have a job. I'm better the you are! Tongue:P ... though something tells me that life with out WoW would get me more of both....

Welcome welcome!
Well... I was playing up the stereotype. I work in a book store (Borders, to be specific), but it's about as good as not working- I only get 16-24 hours a week and I do raid more than I work. I could probably get a job that gave me more hours but that would most likely mean I would miss my chance to slay internet dragons. And I like my purples.

What server/class/faction do you play, anyhow?

Quote
The goal, obviously, would be to get a job playing WoW while getting your knob polished.  I am not your future employer.
A bit quick to add that disclaimer, eh? Whose knobs have you been polishing lately?

Besides blatantly stating the obvious and spouting obnoxious internet memes, I felt an introduction was in order. I'm your average geek on the internet- seemingly shallow and stupid at first appearance... and still shallow and stupid afterwards. But don't worry, I give a mean back massage.

And since someone's sure to bite and ask me more about myself, I read (sci-fi and fantasy, mostly the latter), watch porn, and play too much World of Warcraft instead of getting laid and getting a job. Yup.
