Not to boost my morale or anything...

*cough* CANADIAN! *cough*

...but...what do you guys think of your President? How's he "coping with the masses?" Just wondered. No one's ever...spoken out before.

To be honest, I really don't care about what he's been doing lately.

Ok, maybe I shouldn't say that I don't care, but most of his decisions really don't effect me directly. Therefore it doesn't usually concern me.

I think the way that he has handled the "War on Terrorism" has been pretty well thought out. We haven't had any more "attacks" for almost a year now, and very few service men have died because someone is keeping them out of harms way and attacking when the time is right. (Aside from the fact that 90% of all attacks have been air raids)

As long as he keeps on doing what he is doing now, and doesn't do anything stupid with Iraq, he's good in my books.

This also goes for not making some stupid law that would require all internet broadband providers to cap their users off at 10 gigs a month.

I'm sure other regs here have other opinions about him, and I'm sure that others disagree with me. And that's what this forum is for. To agree to disagree on thins. What a wonderful idea!

By starting this forum Chris, you've cut down on 58.4695% of all crime in America.

And do you know that 99.9% of all statistics are made up on the spot?

I was thinking that same thing...

Except, I was thinking "80% of all stats are made up on the spot,"

But 60% of those people in the 65% group would only say it to fit in with the majority. The true figure is more like 30%, not 65%. I just want to be clear on that. I don't want to confuse 100% of the GTG forum users, which, by the way, are 80% cool / 20% lame. I feel like i'm in that 20% group right now so I'll stop typing and make 110% efforts to reach the 80% cool people.

As long as you have something good to add, I'm all for bringing backup old threads. If we didn't want old threads coming back to life, we would set the auto prune to run every month or so.

Since we have this topic back on top, why not make use of it once again?

I feel as though the President at this point looks as though he wants to attack another country "just for the heck of it". There was probable cause for Iraq since they violated the treaty that was instated after the Gulf War, however, I don't remember Syria signing anything like that, nor them coming over to United States territory killing Americans. With that in mind, what other reasons do we have to use the 500,000 troops in the Mid East against them?

I solely supported the war in Iraq because of the fact that Saddam violated 1441 by having SCUD Missiles, but there's nothing like that that I know of with Syria.

I'm open to the idea. As long as they make a good case. If they just decide to go ahead on their own without even attempting to provide some sort of evidence, then I would oppose. With Iraq, they have tried very hard to pormote their "business case" and failed. And to this day, they still have not discovered any weapons of mass destruction yet. I think they will in time, but the pressure is on.

But that was the whole initial problem with the war on Iraq: The business case was weak and provided no real strong physical evidence of their claims. I'm affraid the same thing is repeating itself. I've head many accusations on Syria, but have yet seen any convincing agruments. Only suspissions. So until they convince me, I say stay put.
