I'm not really new, buuuuut it's sort of been a year or more since I've posted here. Oops? In any case, I figured it made sense to re-introduce myself after so long a hiatus.

So, yeah, hi! My name's Criss, and I'm a 23-year-old nerdy girl hailing from the ever-humid area of southern Louisiana. I deal cards at a casino for a living, and I like it only because I get to be snarky and not-so-subtly tell stupid people off while passing it all off as a joke. I'm a huge, huge, HUGE (massively HUGE!) book nerd and truly get anxious when I don't have a book on me. One of my biggest goals in life is to have an impressive library, and considering I have more books than I do articles of clothing, I'm well on my way to that goal. When I'm not reading or taking people's money, I'm either snarking it up in various internet communities, playing video games, or making "d'awwww" faces at how cute my cats are. Seriously. My cats are fucking awesome.

Good, good. Things got pretty nasty for a bit- my boyfriend cheated on me, I left and was homeless- but I finally have crap under control. I've got an even more awesome place to live, I've got ample money saved up, and I've finally changed lifestyles and quit being a sedentary fat nerd (still a nerd; just not a fat nerd). Oh, and two more awesome cats, but that's what the picture thread's for!

Sometimes in life things have to suck like hell in order for you to find a better place, a better direction, or just a better life in general.  Glad to hear things are turning around for you though.

That was the second time, too. Both were friends. Now granted, we're both pretty open-minded as far as relationships/sex goes. We've been known to do stuff with our friends together, too. I'm even interested in open relationships so long as we discuss every little thing that happens. It was less about the physical act that bothered me, and more about how he broke my trust. He did something behind my back and then lied about it when confronted. If he had asked, he could have had as much sex with her as he wanted. But if you hide a single detail about your life from me after nearly five years of being together, that completely undermines every declaration of love and trust you have for me. To clarify, though: I'm not a naggy woman who pries and must know everything because I'm super jealous and nosy. We've always been ridiculously close and both feel bad when we keep something- even something so insignificant and mundane as something that happened at work!- from one another. In fact, I've always been the more brooding and private of the us. He's the one who has to usually work to get me to not close myself up and lose myself in my thoughts. For him to keep this from me meant he knew he dun goof'd and wasn't mature enough to be held accountable for it.
