Welcome to The Geekery, OscarWilde. Why don't you head over to the Newbie Forums and post an intro thread so we can give you a proper welcome?
-
Eh, I don't welcome people there anyway. This is just as good for me. Welcome, I hope you stick around. :)

Favourite Book: Boy by Roald Dahl
Last Read: War and Peace by Dostoyevsky by Stephanie Meyers
Reading: Eclipse by Stephenie Meyers
I'm loving the War and Peace by Dostoyevsky saga at the moment!

For someone who likes to read, you weren't very good about reading this site's TOS, like the part where it says you should introduce yourself by starting a thread in the New Kids section.

No one reads them anyway *facepalm*

You will have another chance to read it, when you register under your new name.
IF you register under a new name.

No. You are not welcome here.

Don't be too harsh on him, whenever I see people reading terrible books I'm glad that at least they're reading something... Although most of them are borderline illiterate.
-
I loved the War and Peace by Dostoyevsky books. I'm such a chick.

Alright, I give.
I do not see what you see in this story.
It disturbs me. It makes my skin crawl. I found nothing romantic or sexy about it. I found things that made me feel sick beyond just the abused commas and semi-colons and the occasional inconsistency in the canon. Edward is a creep. Jacob is a moron. Bella Isabitch. I don't get it.
I'm sorry.
Can we toss it up to personal preference and agree to disagree?

Correct me if I'm wrong but, it sort of; kind, of; sounds, like, you read. It.

I did. I don't like saying I hate something I've never actually played/watched/read/ate/drank/tried. So I read it. And I did, indeed, hate it.
EDIT: I see what you did there.

I am an expert comma abuser.

Fave Book: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
Recently Read: See Above
Currently Reading: Speaker For The Dead by Orson Scott Card
I love the Ender Saga, ever since I was in 8th grade. The core four were great, but the Ender's Shadow series was kind of dull.

This is challening! There are so many books and authors that I adore.... If I had to pick off of the very top of my list I'd have to say:
*The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy by A. N. Roquelaure (a.k.a. Anne Rice)
*Just about any book by Stephen King
*Philosphy in the Bedroom by the Marquis de Sade
This thread has made me realize how much less I read now, compared to how much I used to read before I was.... well, a 'real' adult. :[

I don't think I could pick a favourite book. Probably not even a favourite author.

*The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy by A. N. Roquelaure (a.k.a. Anne Rice)
I read those when I was 17. It was literary porn to me.
-
Yea, same here. Still are hah :P But that aspect aside, they are great books.

Fave book: The Picture of Dorian Grey.
That's one of my favourite books too.
Last read: The Princess Bride by William Goldman
Reading: Ulysses by James Joyce

HUGE THREAD BUMP!!! Sorry for that...I missed this thread originally.
Uh, they are literary porn. I own the trilogy and have reread them enough that the spines are broken and they're pretty beat up. Good stories, but make no mistake...it's pretty hardcore porn.

I'm not sure I would be able to chose a favourite either. I have read a lot of Stephen King, but I am currently hooked on the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. Also a fan of Ender's Game. The series kind of lost me after the second book though.
