Title: Cable TV meets the internet
Post by: abortretryfail on July 23, 2014, 08:04:10 AM
I feel like this does a good job of making it seem like you're still watching TV - but it's internet content so no commercials. For some strange reason, I really like the concept of channels and shows, even if it is, ultimately, internet content.  Basically just free curation, I suppose. I'm enjoying the Guns & Explosions Channel (http://"http://pluto.tv/#!&channel=nerdculture") and the Nerd Culture Channel (http://pluto.tv/#!&channel=nerdculture).

I don't know what the right words are for what it is, curated content split into themed channels occurring on a set schedule where you can't skip forward or back.  So - just like watching TV, only free, and the shows are made of internet content.

But yes, it's the opposite of WebTV.
