Title: </scorpion>
Post by: Wunderkind on November 09, 2016, 05:59:47 PM
I just can't suspend my disbelief for any of it. And my disbelief usually has amazing suspension.

I can't decide if it's blatant disregard for reality.

Or just shitty writing.

I've never seen it - looks interesting though. May have to give it a watch! Is the writing truly that terrible?

I can't tell what it is exactly that puts me off.

My mother loves it. Watches it religiously.

I might just nitpicky, but I can't get over how unreal all of it feels. It feels like a thirteen year old girl wrote it. Especially if you watch it from the perspective of the waitress being the main character. Then it's really bad, like, teenage girl, confused erotica, bad.

Watch it for yourself though, form your own opinions. I was just hoping for a healthy debate or two to try and put a finger on what exactly it is that puts me off it.

I watched part of one episode.  That was all I could take.

This sums it up well for me.

I'm going to have to check this out.

This sounds like a modern day version of the 1995 movie Hackers. Well. Kind of.

It does include blind button mashing and zero mouse/mousepad usage.

And, since I'm not tech savvy myself, I can't say for certain, but I'm about 63% certain those hacking terms are just thrown in there willy-nilly, because they sound cool.
