I recently picked up a copy of Swamp Thing vol 2 #34 and absolutely loved it. Moore did a damn good job.

But since this was my first time reading Swamp Thing, I dove in kind of uninformed about the entire back story. Has anybody ever read the earlier comics? Are they worth reading and what should I know about the origin story?

I hate kick starter. You get money for sitting around and doing nothing.
Or you sit around making potato salad.

It's a great time to put out a press release with bad news though.  /PR_genius

I can always remember being a pc gamer before anything else. The first game I ever remember playing was probably Rayman from a floppy disk. But this could just be an early memory that I made up.

I almost forgot about Zombo com, thank you.

I grow garlic on my apartment window and cut the heads off of flowers that people bring me. Of course that doesn't take up too much time and so, being born of the generation that I am, my brain instantly requires dopamine.

Sticky Stuff (no pun intended) / Re: The Dream Journal

Experienced my first Night Terror (More annoying than terrifying) that I can remember.

Dreamt I was in the bed in which I was actually sleeping and hallucinated ("imagined" doesn't seem to convey the realism) the sound of the front door opening and a person and dog entering. I could feel the bounce in the mattress as the dog jumped on the bed and started sniffing around. I was on my side facing away from the door (the position I was actually sleeping in) and was completely unable to move or look towards the dog or its owner. The dog stayed out of sight and never licked my face; the person never spoke up to identify themselves. This exact same sequences repeated itself 3 or 4 times. On the 3rd time I was able to actually dream-move my hand to touch the dog and got a tactile hallucination of smooth short hair and body warmth; which freaked me out due to its realism, it nearly convinced me I wasn't dreaming.

Are you sure that you were completely asleep? It's possible that you were just experiencing sleep paralysis, it happens to me regularly (so much so that it doesn't scare me anymore). The feeling that you were awake, the hallucinations, and the inability to move when there is a presence in the room are all indicative of that. The worst part about sleep paralysis, I find, is that if it is extreme enough sometimes you will wake up in the middle of the night (a week before the actual paralysis) and feel like someone is shaking the foot of your bed even though there is no one there. Freaky stuff when you're a bachelorette who lives alone.

My latest dream involved me losing two teeth and going to a dentist that was set up more like an X Factor karaoke bar than a dental clinic. They told me to sing and that if I performed well enough they would fix my teeth. After I sang my little heart out, the artist formerly known as Prince (or is he just known as Prince now?) told me I was terrible and made fun of me. I was outraged and tried to blame my inability to sing on the fact that I was missing teeth AND going through a cold, but he didn't care and I didn't get the dental services I desperately needed. I think it would've been cool to have a dream about Prince operating on my mouth. The last dream I can remember before that one involved having sex with a pregnant male seahorse.

I heard that they already whisked the black boxes away to Russia so they could be over-written with "the truth".

Ridiculous. If America is working with the Soviets then project Acoustic Kitty was all for nothing.

I love it.

Is it a Dia de los Muertos kind of thing? Or just a regular ol' foxy skeleton lady?

There's a big gap in my memory right after that. So I'm going to go with yes.

Bounce house, food, face painting, treat bags.  Fun for the kids.  They did it on Wed though.

Um, that sounds so much better than just regular Halloween. The most fun I had on Halloween as a kid was when an old man asked me if I wanted to see a dead body...

Oh sorry, I just noticed that there were a lot more kids in the shot than adults. I guess they've really stopped worrying about child labour laws down in the states haven't they? ;P

I have Halloween pictures too.

I never thought I resembled anyone until I got this unique compliment last night.

Who do people think you look like?
