Scariest movie would have to be that one where Rosie O'Donnel gets nekkid.  The one with Dan Akroyd.  What's it called?

I remember the word Eden was in the title, although it was far from heavenly.

Those were the best.

I get sick to my stomach too Vasp.

This is a reminder to me of the 1984 world where there is some "instability" in some far off place and we need to fear an altercation with them at all times. Because we are in a time of war we must sacrifice our personal civil liberties to unsure the safety of our union.

True, there are some people over there that hate us and wish us harm, but all we do by bombing them is provide fodder for them to gather and organize more against us.  If I were an Iranian/Iraqui and my house was bombed through some asshole in Washington DC that hasn't even been to my country, I too would do something to stop that seemingly evil faction...it's easier to judge by actions and not intentions, especially those who are uneducated-most of whom get sweet evil nothings whispered into their ears.

I'll have to approach this topic at a later date when I have more time.
All I will say for now is that we had bigger threats out there than IRAQ, Iran being one of them...

that AND I can't believe there was No fucking plan for dealing with the insurgents. Pathetic.

He campaigned it as an upgrade. We'll see.

Now you guys are catching on to my Soylent Green comment...took ya long enough!

I caught on right away. I just haven't been around much.
Well, I've been around, just mentally occupied.

Edit: Xol: I love veal! But I think I may never eat it again, because apparently it is "wrong." Sometimes I just want to say, if eating baby milkfed cows that are grown in a cage is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

Is that any way to cure the walking blues?

As PbS noted, technology muddles the viability argument. It won't be long before children are conceived and grown in a lab. At what point, then, does that fetus become a person?

I was the first successful invetro-fertilized baby born at my hospital in Michigan.
My mom's tubes were pinched and it was the only way for me to be conceived and born. Pre-birth I spent time in an incubator and this was 21 years ago...nor was I the first in the United States.
These times are already upon us Ivan.

I agree that a legal distinction should be made, but I think it is near impossible to "determine" when life begins. I feel as though I am a continuation of life in this physical world. I recognize my "birthday" as when I exited my mom's vagina right out those labia doors, but I know life was there before this occurred.

I suppose the question is what are the effects on society, does porn cause harm to women?

I've seen some crazy German porn and the last time I checked Islamic women in Afganistan and such have it pretty bad. My friend who looks at a lot of porn hasn't seen one Afgani porn. Would the burka still be worn?

Different cultures have different views. I dislike the idea of a culture being forced or limited. In the land of the free, we ought to be free to develop our own viewpoints and values.

I just know I am going to be shot down, ugh.

Anyone willing to help me list out the arguments and their reasons? It makes it so much easier to find evidence (both in the readings I have to do and outside).

What are these arguements of which you speak?
Topics? Questions? General Area of focus?
What would be your supporting arguements?
What are you trying to prove or what is your goal?
