Entertainment / favourite Web Comics
« on: January 18, 2011, 01:28:57 PM »
Ok I know there are comics fans on Geek Forum, what are you guy's favourite webcomics?

I'll start with a new favourite of mine.

I work for the marketing company that picked up a campaign for Falling Skies, the webcomic done by Dark Horse in conjunction with TNT.  So far I like what I'm reading (I have been a comic fan since Claremon't run on X-men in the 80's).

The book itself, is written by longtime Dark Horse cohort, Mark Verheiden (Aliens Vs. Predator, My Name Is Bruce), the series storyboards the harrowing events of an alien invasion, which places Tom Mason, and his three sons, Hal, Ben and Matt in a struggle to survive as they fight back against the aliens.

It seems very interesting with characters that are just trying to do their best to get by in a rough, albeit sci fi situation. I really have enjoyed the issues that I have seen,

There is also a TV series that will take place after the webcomic, there is a good trailer out there on fanbolt:http://www.fanbolt.com/headline/10275/F

That's my current favourite active webcomic, what about you guys?

Hey guys names MelvinKang.  I have been a geek all my life and a gamer.  I live in NYC and work for a marketing company there during the day.

I recently got into World of Warcraft as I tried the 14 day trial at the Mountain Dew Game Fuel Site ( http://www.mountaindewgamefuel.com/index.php ), pretty great game and my first MMO, before that i was big into fight games, having taken part in various tournaments in Tekken 4, & 5 and other fight games.

I am big into Sci Fi and am an avid reader, though I have to admit new TV Sci Fi hasn't interested me much as a lot of it seems to have become too formulaic.

Well anyway I look forward to being a member of these forums and getting to know the community!
