Anybody but me have this weird, almost comical vision in the back of their mind of the interim Iraqi government suddenly standing up and saying "Ha ha ha ha, you fucking imbeciles!  You played right into our trap!"

And seeing Saddam placed right back into power?

I know, impossible... but that's the first thought that pops into my head any time I read anything about him being handed over to the Iraqis.

Sorry, no, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him swept back into power. Too many members of the Ba'ath party have suddenly rolled over and agreed to help the new government. Either they see a new opportunity to try and seize power for themselves, or they see an opening to exploit.

damn dude, I remember listening to that in junior high.  It wasn't as good as the hulk hogan song though.

and yeah, even if saddam doesn't come back into power, which doesn't seem to fucking likely, an equally crazy whacko will take power anyway.
