Vespertine:  I take it you'd be in support of my "pass a basic let's-make-sure-you-at-least-understand-the-concept test" program required before allowing people to vote?  ;)

Yeah but who would make the test?  The duopoly of parties?  Some supreme dictator?

I vote BizB.  He'd make a fine test.

That's fine with me, but what about all those anti-BizBites out there, don't they have a right to an opinion?

Let me know where that test is, I'll stick my grandma at the front of the line to take it.

Well, here is where we stand:

Kerry -- 5 votes 20%
Bush -- 7 votes 29%
Libertarian -- 4 votes 16%
Indie -- 1 vote 4%
Other -- 7 votes 29%

As we all know, how The Geekery goes, so goes the nation. So I hope all you Libertarians, Idependents and whatever the hell "Other" means are happy, because you just elected Bush for a second term. So don't blame me when you get sucked into the draft and get your head chopped off in Iraq, and your grandmother has to have a back-alley abortion and pay for it by turning tricks. Don't blame me, because I didn't vote.

Well, I probably don't, on account of being old.

I find your use of the term "sucker" in this context intriguing, but I haven't worked out anything witty, so I'll let it go.

I don't have much to worry about.  I'm approaching "too old" as we speak.

Besides, with my totally wrecked knees, there's no way I'm passing a physical.  Not unless they let me use a cane.

I'm not sure if I should be excited or afraid of a second Bush term.  After all...

W will not be seeking another term
Cheney will not be seeking another term
The Republicans already have a pretty good idea who they'll put up in 2008

Imagine the good that could come of an administration that doesn't fear electability.
Imagine the horror of a government that actually accomplishes stuff.

On the other hand, imagine this...
Chief Justice of the Supreme Court... Hillary Clinton and Justice William Jefferson Clinton appointed to the court and sworn in at a joint-swearing-in-ceremony.

I don't know about that.  I'm surprised he's made it through this term.

avalanche, I'm trying to figure out if you're serious or if you forgot the sarcasm flag.  If you forgot the sarcasm flag, that is teh funnay.  If you're serious, I just have to ask why you would want an administration that has nothing to fear.  Even with the "fear of electability", this administration has set civil liberties back at least 30 years and brought to mind the McCarthyism of the past.  Imagine the horror of a government that "accomplishes stuff" without ever stopping to think about whether they're doing what the people want or whether they're having their way with the Constitution.

Also, I don't think anyone (Democrat or Repulican) has ever seriously considered either Clinton for the Supreme Court.
