help please - annoying problem

Hey Guys im sure some of you will be able to help me out  my computer recently started aon this one. Whenever i start my comp it always asks whether i want to start windowns normally or enter windows set up insteat of just booting up normally. How can i make it just start up normally?

This may involve modifing your hidden boot.ini file and manually removing the unwanted option. That's never pretty.

In the boot.ini file, which is in the root of the 'C' drive and is usually hidden, is the code which displays the start up menu that is to be shown. I've had to open it up and knock out the start up options before. It's not pretty because if you do it wrong and mess up your boot.ini, you comp won't want to boot up afterwards.

IIRC, you can also change the BootMenu=1 to BootMenu=0 (I might have that backwards) to get rid of the prompt entirely. That's probably the best bet. But don't hold me responsible for hosing your system if it doesn't work.
