I have a general complaint about my job. I work as a public relations coordinator. On my organization's website is a form that you can fill out with any questions you may have, your name and your email address. When you hit "send" the whole form gets sent in email form to the PR email account. Now, from here, I can just hit "reply" to any of these emails and it will send my response to the person's email address. Sounds simple enough, right?

You wouldn't believe how many people send in this form telling me they don't have an email address. --;

Writing temporary tables to tembdb is for pussies. I say write 400,000+ 'temporary' tables directly to the database instead. Who gives a fuck if this causes it to grow from 17GB to 40GB?

I hate bitching about stuff but...I just gotta bitch about it.

I'm SO FRUSTRATED!!!! Last year I spoke with the director of personnel for the school system for which I was working. He assured me that my school could hire me part time...as could any other school in the county...as long as any rifs have been placed (there are no rifs in high school math). So I resigned my position and let it be known that I wanted a part time position.

My school hired three new teachers with no experience...instead of splitting one of the positions between me and another experienced teacher. Then I started hearing from all over the county that central office told them not to hire any part time teachers due to budget cuts. Uh...it's cheaper to hire a part timer because you don't have to pay for benefits.

I could see how it might be expensive to hire the retired part timers because they are so high on the pay scale. So now it came down to the wire and some schools had to hire part timers. They hired the retired ones. And I'm sitting here with no job.

I would not have resigned my position at the school where I LOVED working if the central office guy didn't assure me that I could be hired part time. What the ef?

Cu: OK, we took the switch out from in between and they can communicate now.
Me: OH! GLAD TO HEAR IT!

I think the problem is that I trust them to know their own network.
