I'm doing alright. So far nothing in the way of ill weather has come far enough inland to bother us. But, since I live in a super small town, the downed tree on Center St. blocking Monday morning traffic last week was total travesty.

I live in a neighborhood with lots of trees and a single entry point. A strategically felled tree would strand dozens of people.

I live on a peninsula with ocean less than a mile away on one side.  The bay is pretty protected and ocean level would have to rise 40' feet to get my front lawn wet but the amount of rain expected could be a bother.  We just got upgraded to a tropical storm warning but my town is on the border of a hurricane watch zone also, and if it tracks much further westward it's going right over us.

Yippee, maybe I'll work from home tomorrow.

Man, you would not believe the guff we got from people when we told them we were heading down to Hilton Head on Thursday the 1st. And you know what? Not a cloud in the sky! The riptide wasn't even in force!

Great time to be at the beach. :)
