You missed everything.

Literally, everything.

SOPA passed and the universe imploded; re-exploded followed by a re-evolution of man, technology and everything else.
This may have happened more than once; no one's really sure.

Eventually a universe where SOPA doesn't pass came along; which brings us back to now.



tl;dr: God sucks as a GM due to lax reroll standards.
