P.S. This was somehow not what I was expecting when I read the thread title. 106

You ask how does it change things? My reaction: In the immediate, life just got a whole lot more dangerous. I tried to feel joy over the news, really, I did. All I ended up feeling was sad and apprehensive over what happens next. Someone is going to have to prove a retaliatory point. I just wonder how big a point they're going to try to prove.

I've been Vespertine on here for as long as I've been here. I play EQ2 and my main's name is Vespers. I met a bunch of my EQ2 guildies in real life last August. I think I was called by my real name exactly once. The entire rest of the time I was called 'V'.
I vote for keeping Demo. 108

LOL!!!
I laugh because I can SO identify with what you've just described, ivan. Major, catastrophic things can happen and I will barely blink an eye. But I can get worked into such a massive tizzy over stupid, inconsequential things. It's amusing to others. 120

This is hilarious. I opened this thread specifically to make a comment about whether 'backyard astronomy' was a euphemism for something. And I see sodomy jokes.

HER: Rosati's Pizza, how can I help you?
ME: I'd like to place an order for delivery please. ...placing order stuff here.... HER: Will this be cash or credit? ME: Credit. HER: Go ahead with the card number whenever you're ready. ME: Gives card number. HER: Expiration date? ME: June, 2012 HER: Oh, the card didn't run. Can I get the number again? ME: Gives card number. HER: Expiration date? ME: June, 2012 HER: Weird...it failed again. Can we try it one more time? ME: Sure. Gives card number. HER: Expiration date? ME: June, 2012. HER: Um, that's..........08, 2012.......right? ME: (totally deadpan but DYING on the inside) Uh, no...June would be the SIXTH month of the year. HER: OH! It totally worked this time. You guys have no idea how much I wanted to ask her if she needs help tying her shoes. I immediately hung up with her and called, like, three different people to tell them all the story. The scary and REALLY pathetic part is that this was about a month ago. I called a few days ago and she did the EXACT SAME THING. 123

If someone thought I was any of those things, it would bug me too. So please believe that I think much more highly of you than that. I think it's that sometimes you state something strongly, almost like an initial, visceral reaction, and only later agree to come down and have a less emotionally charged conversation/debate/whatever. I think that that initial charged statement might stick with me more than it should. 125
