Accually I think its Hallowed Be Thy Name. But its been a long time since I heard Mariner so it might be that.

It is Hallowed Be Thy Name. Though this song clip did not come from an Iron Maiden song.  :-o

2) My background is in Nuclear Science, but I work as a server admin for a data center where I do day-to-day management of around 140 terminal servers and I've started doing server builds and deployments as well
...
8) I've dumped girls/women because I didn't think they were smart enough

I think the fact that you have a background in Nuclear Science, and have dumped women because they were not smart enough puts you in good shape to walk away victorious.

Were the women that you dumped really hot, but just dumb?

QOTD:  What do you wear to bed?  If it's "nothing"...do you start off that way?  Or do you have pajammers on to begin with?

Shorts and a t-shirt, usually.

This girl that works with me told me a scary story once about how she went to bed fully dressed, and when her dad went into her room to wake her up, she was fully naked, above the covers. She said her dad seemed pretty frightened.

I've changed the theme back from the dark graphic-intensive theme to something more phpBB-like for the time being, until I can find something that is fitting.

If anyone wishes to change their theme, you can do so by the following:
Click on "Profile"
Go to "Look and Layout Preferences"
Look for "Current Theme: Forum or Board Default (change)" (Click on 'change')

Personally I preferred phpBB, but it's your call. You do own and operate the website, and I'm not about to spoil this for anyone. I'll adapt, I'm sure. :D

Shade, there are a few themes that are more phpBB-like; I know this one is drasticly different than any phpBB theme that we had installed before. In order to change your theme, go to "Profile" and from the left hand side on the profile summary page, click on "Look and Layout Preferences". At the top there is a section that says "Current Theme: Forum or Board Default (change)". That's what you want.

EDIT: Wait, nevermind. I see you have already changed your theme from the default one.

Formatting always works. I'd reccomend making a ghost image after you re-install the OS, install any updates, as well as any commonly used programs. This way if something should happen to it again, you can simply roll it back to where you started from, without wasting 2 or 3 hours.

Song 4 is Halcyon+On+On by Orbital. I'd know that one in my sleep.

Yes, you got it. I'm surprised someone was able to get that one that quick. For any of you going, "Man, I think I know where that song is from!" It's from the beginning of the movie "Hackers" when they move to the city.

If you're reading this, then you made the migration from phpBB to SMF! Not to mention you also made the cut from a week back when all members with a post count of 0 were deleted. Wow!!!

I decided to go with a forum that was easier to upgrade than phpBB was. phpBB bagan to be a pain in the ass after you would install 6 mods, and then a week later they release a new version saying, "GUESS WHAT GUYZ!!1 YOU HAVE TO REINSTALL ALL UR MODS NOW FOR IT TO WORK! THANX!" Hopefully this will work out better.

Currently, avatars and attachments were not pulled over during the migration, but I will work on bringing them over as well.

Trust me on this one, this switch will benifit the community. There are a lot more out-of-the-box features with SMF than there are with phpBB, not to mention it is coded better.

Please post any bug reports/outages here in this thread and I will try to work on fixing them as soon as possible.

Entertainment / Mystery Song Contest - Week No. 1
« on: May 28, 2006, 07:57:31 PM »
This post by Dark Shade sparked the idea of having a Mystery Song Contest in which each week there are five new 10-second song clips entered into the contest.

Each sound clip obviously has no name attached to it - that's your job to find out using your infinate wisdom. Furthermore, each clip doesn't contain any significant lyrics that could be Googled. Oops. And if it wasn't already hard enough, each sound clips has been recorded in reverse. Actually, just kidding about that reverse part. That would be pretty messed up if they were.

Here are this week's entires:

Song 1 - Difficulty: Easy

Song 2 - Difficulty: Moderate

Song 3 - Difficulty: Hard

Song 4 - Difficulty: Hard, but sounds familar to me!

Song 5 - Difficulty: Hard

Respond with the correct artist and song title. Who ever responds with the most correct answers will win an autographed picture of Bobby Dogerson!

Because every spammer on the face of the planet seems to come from Soviet Russia, I have decided to put the following filter into place:

The following email addresses will be banned
*.*.ru

Basically, this means anyone with an email address which has the suffix, "ru" will no longer be able to register.

If anyone has a problem with this new restriction, please write to your captain:

I've only made a few slight changes to stuff around here so far. The next time that I have off from work I will be making more changes to things around here.

Who knows, maybe I'll change everything over to a really cool pink layout. Or intall obscene smilies that piss people off. Or maybe do both!

I think someone made that song up just to put the mystery to rest. 48 hours seems just like enough time to put out a fake cover up song, if you ask me.

Why were the majority of those spambots from Russia?

(I think I know why)

That's why I purged them. The job was still not finished from the 1930s, so I decided to give it a nudge in the right direction.

Aside from Lacerda's "Mad Bitches, Disgruntled Hoes" I think Twista's "Like a 24" takes the cake for the most ridicilous rap lyrics. Ever. Period.

Quote

Like A 24

(Chorus: Twista)
Make that ass roll like a 24,
Let me see you make that ass roll like a 24,
Shorty make that ass roll like some 24's,
Let me see you make that ass roll like a 24,

(Girl) I can make my ass roll like a 24,
I can make my ass roll like a 24,
I can make my ass roll some 24's,
I can make my ass roll like a 24,

(Twista) Now drop, Now drop it to tha floor,
Spin it like some stop-and-go's,
Drop it, Drop it to tha floor,
Spin it like some stop-and-go's,
Roll like a 24...
Let me see you make that ass roll like a 24...

(Twista)
Now I can tell from back in tha days when we was shortys in tha hood, (Hood)
That you was gon' grow to be thick as hell and lookin' good, (Good)
Now you 21 and them thighs ain't no punk, (Punk)
Lookin' fine as hell like a penny jumped up in tha trunk, (Trunk)
Make a nigga give you what you want, put that ass on dubs,
Feelin' when you get tha party crunk, feelin' when you twork it in tha clubs,
Feelin' when you get down on tha floor, love when you get down on tha low,
Feelin' wanna jack that ass, wanna bump and get tha hoe, get tha hoe,
Baby I just got some 24's and I love to watch 'em spin, (Spin)
So let me see you make that ass roll like my rims, (Rims)
Feelin' like them Omega Jordans, pop that booty for my squad,
Work that phatty, throw it hard, roll it like a loaf and hard...

(Chorus)

(T.I.)
You already know hoes down pimps up,
When pimpin' step up in tha house put yo bitch up,
I got a Remi bottle instead of a pimp cup,
It shine like a summer day wit' my wrist up,
She wanna wave now 'cuz my nigga Twista,
Dissed her then bounced wit' her sister,
I tell her keep her head down and her hips up,
You can keep the pussy I'ma tear them pretty lips up,
Let that ass roll like 24's on a big truck,
And ya g-string let it bounce when tha beat bang,
Make it drop like them cars in tha g-thang,
Pull up ya skirt, work it like tha hood keep sayin'...

(Chorus)

(Liffy Stokes)
Come on shorty make that ass pop, drop it like a rag-top,
Shake it like its bomb dro, stir it up like ready roc,
I gotta pocket full of tens and dubs...
I'm up in tha club, drunk as fuck, stuck, lookin' for love,
They lookin' for thugs... And I got to admit, guys we trust,
A lil' game, a lil' fame, I'll have 'em piling in the church bus,
pumping on bomb dro, straight up to tha condo,
Open tha bus doors, head up to tha twelfth floor,
It's 'bout to crack now, layin' on my back now,
She shook one cheek at a time, then dropped it back down,
I'm goin' through a thang, I never knew tha name,
All I know is when she got low, A nigga lost it man...

(Outro: Twista)
You got my thang on swole... (Back that ass up)
Girl, you got my thang on swole... (Now make that ass drop)
You got my thang on swole... (Make that ass bounce)
Girl, you got my thang on swole... (Now make that ass drop)

Drop somethin', shake somethin'...
Work somethin', twork somethin'...
Break somethin', shake somethin'...
Work somethin', twork somethin'...

Break it, shake it, work it, twork it,
Break it, shake it, work it, twork it,
Break it, shake it, work it, twork it,
Break it, shake it, work it, twork it,
Break it, shake it, work it, twork it,

Shorty let me see you make tha left side move... (Side move)
Now let me see you make tha right side move... (Side move)
Now let me see you make both sides move... (Sides move)
Now baby bounce (bounce), bounce (bounce), bounce (bounce), bounce (bounce)...

HOW THE FUCK DO THESE GUYS COME UP WITH THIS SHIT?

I'll tell you what happened to all of the registered members... I deleted them! Each and everyone one of them who had a post count of 0 got the boot. And you know what, it felt good.

"BUT WHY?!?!" you ask.

The reason being is because I put a visual confirmation script into place, requiring all users to manually fill out a form with random numbers and letters in order to continue. I got tired of spam bots signing up for bosous accounts just to use the "Website" field in their profile in hopes that one person may click it. I figured now would be the best time to prune the user database. You know, kind of like starting fresh.

All I have to say to those scumbags now is:

WHO'S LAUGHING NOW, FUCKER?!

Discuss, if you must.

On second thought, it kind of sounds like something Rammstein would have put together. I have searched through all the albums that I have, and there were a few things that were similar in nature. Though I'm not sure if I have all of their songs. I do know I have all of their albums, but there are a bunch of songs out there that are not attached to any albums.
