Yeah, I've got a browser problem for you:

Every time I go to a site that's 128-bit secured (like PayPal, or my bank, for example) I get the message that the connection is refused. What's up with that?

...

Betcha thought it was going to be some sarcastic remark, huh?

Screen shot, Lacerda?

Sounds something with the secuirty settings of your broswer, from the sounds of it. Although, I don't really hear any sounds being omitted from your broweser, so I might be making things up at this point.

i've narrowed down the problem (i think)

when i go to

internet options> security> custom level

i cannot find where it says "options for cookies"
it's not there

i must have done something in reg edit to remove it on accident?

anyone know how i can remedy this?

It's not really worth the effort of getting a screenshot--just imagine Paypal's front page with a window over it that says "Connection refused to Paypal.com".

And yeah, it does sound like a security thing, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how the settings are different from my other computer.

I think there's something in security to enable 128 bit encryption.  What browser do you use again?

Stuff fails to work in both IE and Firefox--yet downstairs, it works fine...and I just restored all the defaults.

WEEEEIRD.
