While I was on my way into work this morning, I was behind a woman in a blue car, just as I was coming into town.  A cat was trying to cross the road and it darted out in front of her and she hit it.

I stopped and pulled over, because I didn't think she hit it too badly, but the cat died anyway.

I feel badly for the woman, because she was really upset about it, but I think the cat was a stray, and I don't think she could possibly have seen the poor thing until it was too late to do anything about it.

Sometimes life just sucks.

I'm glad my cats are indoor ones.

Awwww!  Kitty!

That would really suck.  I hit a bird once and felt terrible.  (I felt more terrible that it was stuck in my grill.)  But I couldn't imagine hitting a cat.  Man.

I saw a lady get hit by a car once. She looked one way, she didn't look the other, and of course, there was a car coming from the other direction that she didn't bother to check. I must admit, it was pretty impressive seeing the lady being launched at least 10 feet in the air, and the car wasn't even going that fast.

I got hit by an SUV backing out of a driveway once.  That really sucked.

Had my foot run over, but that was about it. She in fact stopped the car with the tire on my foot, so it kinda sucked though.

damn, that sucks... poor thing.  My friend had awful luck with their cats.   They loved hiding up in the bottom of their car and they like didnt get out when it started.  Once the cat sleeping on their tire didnt even wake up...  I dont think it was curiosity, but just plain laziness.

Still very sad.  I hope our Nigel is smart enough to not dart across the road.

We've had 7 cats over the course of my life. 2 have gone missing without a trace, 1 we had to have put down, 1 we gave to one of our farmer friends and it was attacked and killed by a racoon, 1 we gave away due to him beating up one of the other cats. And we currently have 2. I love my cats to bits and it hurts when they get killed or lost. I feel badly when ever i hear a story about a cat getting hurt or dying.  :(
