I have done this before, actually. Some of the people around me have wireless networks, and don't bother changing any of the default settings for the WAPs, thus meaning that I have no problem connecting to their stuff.

One person has a printer shared, I was tempted to give them a goatse attack on that, but I stopped myself when I thought, "What have they ever done to me?".
