A novel defense from the Freedom of Information Act
« on: June 29, 2004, 04:45:17 PM »

I don't know if this goes in here or politics, but, ummm, wow.  Just, wow.  Full coverage at /.

The gist is that the Dept. of Justice is refusing to release some records under the Freedom of Information Act on the grounds that putting the database under that sort of load could crash the whole thing irretrievably.

Weird Tingly Feeling!?!?!?!?  They don't even back the thing up??!!??!?!?  If those are the standards for government database management, I want a government job!!!
