Php help please!

I am trying to install a php program on my web server, but when i run the php file directly from the sever, it prompts me to download it! Any ideas?

No help. Can you just tell me hot install it? I found a file that installs it, but that was the .php file that I tried to run.

You'll have to update your server config to treat php as a cgi, not a file.

PERL was around before CGI though. And really it's time has passed for CGI. People have almost entirely switched to PHP and ASP (ugh *spit*).
