Well, as I've noted in the past, ivan, lately the only thing keeping me from being a serial killer is my distaste for manual labor.

Heh... I ventured into a couple of those threads just so that I could feel above it all.  That'll never happen again.

I, too, would like to thank my fellow geeks for keeping it calm.  I understand that I'm in the minority here and I've tried to gloat just a little.  My nipples are erect, but you can't tell because I have class (and a heavy sweater.)

I too am impressed with the way people dont moan and bitch and claw like they do in IRC.  I also like how people can respect that even if it was or wasnt their pick, there still was a whole half (or more) who voted for the other guy.

I may not like it, but hey, that is why there is that only-give-someone-8-years-to-ruin-a-country amendment.

Okay, sorry, a low blow.

But my point is, we get to try again next time.

What I find amusing is that on other websites and forums, when the people elected Clinton for eight years, then the voters are 'well-informed, free thinkers.' However when they elect Bush for eight years then 'they're all idiots' and 'I'm leaving the country' and 'they're a bunch of doo-doo heads.'

This is one of the reasons why I love this place so much. We come from all over: Democrat, Republican, Neither, Religious, Not-So-Religious, Straight, Xolik, and our discussions are almost always civil without any pointless name calling. Plus people here actually back up what they say with :gasp: evidence and sources!

Oh, I don't know.  They were all idiots when they elected Clinton twice too, in my not-so-humble opinion.  :)

Take out the treath... yeah! Spoken like a true American!

I'm pissed off. I thought this whole election result was going to generate conflict on the boards. Fuck you people for being so in control of your presidential bitch slappin' urges.

When we generate conflict, you insert stupidity in hopes of breaking it up. MAKE UP YOUR MIND! :P

That is so true! When there is conflict, I use stupidity to break it. When there is no conflict, I use stupidity to create it. But in my defense, at least I'm consistantly being stupid.

Here, here, Xolik.  Once more you've shown you're better with words than I am.   I doubt I could have said it half so well.

btw, I'm super proud of Oklahoma!  Mom said we had a record number of voters this year.  Of course, I'm saying that dispite the fact I'm not too happy with our choice of who to send to the Senate.  Coburn was a congressman several years ago, and he's a little too conservative for my tastes.  Sorry, Xolik, Oklahoma won't be much help in establishing your rights.

I'm surprised that California's is that high.  I guess all the educated in the Bay Area, LA, Sac, and SD make up for all the extreme dullards in places like Oroville.

You don't need IQ stats (which I'm sure weren't completely fabricated at all) to see that. The last election pretty much proved this. The tactic of "Hey, were's sooo much smarter than you idiots so let us have power in the country and we'll fix your meager, pathetic little lives, you ignorant scum" isn't working. I have noticed a distrubing trend among the Democratic leadership in which they speak rather condescendingly to anybody who dares question their abilities. As long as they keep pulling the 'Well, you're just too stupid to understand, so just shut up and elect me and I'll fix it for you' apporach, they won't be getting a majority again any time soon. I also think it's a laugh riot when they try so hard to pass themselves off as the 'average American' that they so readily insult.

And to be fair, I've noticed a trend with the Republicans in which if you question their actions\motives then your patriotism falls under question. "Just shut up and let us keep killing, or else you hate America!" That nonsense has got to stop as well.

yeah, the link avalanche posted pretty much proved the list was exaggerated. Stupid election humor. It's not like I think Republicans as a group are stupid. Come down, xolik. :)
