good point. i guess it's so natural to me now that i didn't even consider that!

the story:

several years ago, around the time that my friend jason came out, i had a bad habit of saying stuff was gay ("that movie was gay," for example).. and then, having recently found out that jas was gay, i would profusely apologize to him after catching myself saying that kind of thing. he, however, thought it was hilarious. and one day, after again apologizing for throwing around the word so carelessly, jason laughed and said something like, "you know it's only a matter of time until you start referring to me as your 'gay friend, jason,' right?" and, not wanting to disappoint, i started then. :)
