Okay I know this isn't a help forum but....

Has anyone else  had this browser simply die on them?  It's been my default for a long time and I've had no complaints.  But a week or so ago it simply will not find any site on the intraweb thing.  I tried uninstalling with windows control panel.  Although this said something about H_key_ local something uninstall file could not be found.  Sorry but it has been a week or so.  Went to mozilla.org, and the faq's said to simply delete the mozilla folder, tried that and installed the latest version and still get nowhere.

God I hate Explorer.  I miss my old browser.

Uninstall and then remove every last "mozilla" reference from your registry. Then try reinstalling.

By the way, Flash Player 8 will break AdBlock. Do not install Flash 8 unless absolutely necessary.

Heh heh heh heh.  Too many beers?  Probably a good idea to leave it alone then, you're right.   :P

If you can't get Firefox to work, you might use that as an excuse to give Opera a try.  It's quite different from Firefox, but it has its advantages as well, and... well, face it.

It's not Internet Explorer.

Yeah yesterday was a wild day to say the least.

We arrived at the jobsite at 7:30 and the dumpster truck driver was there to pick up our dumpster.  While waitng for us to open up the gates so he could pick it up he decided to get out of the truck.  A minute or so afterwards the truck took off down the hill, rapidly.  It took out a transformer, some trees, fifty feet of chain link, and brush before it came to rest right beside the Jaguar cage.  Fifteen feet to the right and it would likely have opened up the wall on the Jaguar house.  Fifteen feet to the left and it would have proceeded down the hill and into a large sediment basin which serves double duty as a duck pond.

Between getting the truck out, getting electricians there, fencing people rounded up, pouriing a new pad for the new transformer and panel, it was a hectic day to say the least.  Today everything will be in operation with new wire pulled to all the things that were energized by the old transformer.

Luckily the Zoo wasn't opened yet, nobody got hurt, and if the truck had to hit something it could have been much worse as stated above.  Not to mention if someone had been in its path.

I took a roll of film and got it developed, then proceeded to meet my project manager at a local watering hole.  Many beers were drank.

Sometimes Firefox just plan dies on me as well.  I think it has something to do with certain ads trying to do something that Firefox tries to prevent.  Sometimes it just plain dies and I get the "Do you want to report this error to Microsoft" and sometimes it just hangs and I have to kill the process and restart.

Also Flash 8  didn't mess-up my AdBlocker but now Flash doesn't work in FireFox at all for me.

I kinda liked Firefox at first but now it's starting to piss me off.  Maybe I'll give Opera a try.  Or maybe I'll just start using CrazyBrowser again, but I really like the Ad-Blocking and the way it doens't play Flash automatically in FF.  What I dislike is having to install all my add-ins again.

Yeah, if you disable AdBlock, Flash will work. I'm pissed off about it. I abuse AdBlock at work to get links to content to swipe for my job.

I don't really know that I switched to it quickly.  But I did like it with the add block and hosts file.  I've got a few minutes now so methinks I'll go digging around in the registry.

I don't know of anyone who said that, but whatever. I switched mainly because of Adblock. The other features just came naturally. I truly couldn't go back to plain vanilla IE.

I switched for tabbed browsing... best thing to ever happen to any browser. :)  Also IE is acting all funny and stuff now. :(

I switched to MyIE2 (now Maxthon) for tabbed browsing. I switched from there to Firefox to get away from IE and for Adblock. I've used Opera, but I wasn't all that thrilled that you had to pay to get rid of the ads, so I may go and give it another whirl now that it's free.

Well I tried the uninstall and Ctrl F searched through the registry for every reference to Mozilla.  Deleted them all and restarted.  Still won't work with a new install.  Aaaaarghhhh.

Registry labels are tricky sometimes- whenever I go through to get rid of something, I'll put the regular name like "mozilla" in, and get rid of all those keys, then I'll put just "moz" and see what that comes up with (be selective. don't just delete a key, review it to make sure it applies to this software and not another software you don't want to kill). Then I'll put "Firefox", then "fire" or "fox" or both. Even then, it's not guaranteed to get the initalled ones like "MFF" or "M1.6FF" or something weird, for which there is no guessing.

This is why I don't do it that often. I'm slightly less likely to reformat my machine than to take hours to delete registry keys.

if you want tabbed browsing, use opera, or something else.

Yeah, you could definitely say the same thing about him.  But haven't we already established the fact that just because you say something, doesn't mean that it's true?
