I know Lacerda bitched about this someplace but I can't find it.  

Windows automagically updates on my home computer and restarts itself REGARDLESS OF WHAT I HAVE UP ON THE SCREEN THAT I'M WORKING ON.

Is there a way to turn that off?

Right-click "My computer" either on the desktop or in the start menu, click properties, there's a tab "automatic updates" under that tab you can turn it off.

Uninstall Windows... problem solved.

I had to turn on Automatic Updates on a computer I just finished working on, because the people that use it have no ideas about anything when it comes to computers. I felt dirty just touching Windows XP.
