hey guys,
A friend of mine is having computer problems here is what she told me

Could be a dogy installation but then I'm retarded when it comes to P.C's.

Try computing.net People there have always managed to get to the bottom of any problems I've had and done so swiftly and accuratly.

Maybe, to complicate things, it is a problem with the CMOS battery.

Either she forgot to hit the "save" button, she has a virus, or her cmos battery is fucked...but that wouldn't do anything to the info on the HD

Maybe it formats on reboot, but that would vall under the virus category

Make sure she has downloaded the latest version of CMOS Spanker. She should find it easilly on google.
