Post away if indeed you have any questions or concerns about them.

(HINT: Rule #3 seems to be the hot item for discussion nowadays)

I, for one, disagree with the "no flaming" rule.

I believe flaming because someone is new is unacceptable.  But flaming because someone doesn't get it and is being a complete moron, is ok.  But the flamER has to be a well established person themselves and the flame has to actually be funny.

Personally, I have no problem with flaming.  I mean, sometimes the person just deserves it.  If I think back, I don't recall anyone being abusive as a rule of thumb.  Seems like the way it usually happens is that some fool of a new person comes in here, flings stupid all over the place, gets told off and either shapes up or gets banned.  For me, that's an acceptable sequence of events.

I believe that on some of my posts I deserved to be flamed, and after reading your replies I understood this, however, because of the rules, people weren't allowed to do so. I hope that my future posts won't be as stupid as those that I have posted in the past. ps, People, I'm sorry about my stupidity, please help me fix it.

I put number three in there because I got the impression that a lot of new people were signing up and posting, but were scared away when they did not post in the Newbie forum and were harassed about it. I know, call me crazy, maybe I'm delusional.

Maybe threads and replies by newbies that carry no real content value should just be deleted, and either they get banned, or a warning is sent via PM. That could cut down on some people getting potentially scared away.

Personally, I'm with Detta on the issue of flaming somone that really deserves it. However, the problem is what I call deserving may not be what Judge thinks is deserving.

When someone doesn't put their first post in the newbie forum, I politely ask them to.  If they don't put their second, third, fourth, fifth, etc not in the newbie forum, then I get nasty.
