I've lurked here for a bit before I signed up. I've now signed up and read some more posts and such. I'm wondering how many active members actually come here? I see a lot of repeat from the same people

I'm also wondering if its regular for the admin/mods to edit and ban users and users posts?

I'm wondering if your control freaks or ?? I understand the spam and such, but this seems, at least to me, to be a heavily moderated forum..

Still trying to get my feel if I like it or not..

I'd say there are about 30 to 40 fairly regular users that browse/post these forums on a daily basis. As to the forum being heavily moderated... We like to weed out all of the trolls. Mostly people that come here thinking that we're only a tech support forum, or that we owe them something either get made fun of, banned, or have their post deleted.

Once you get settled and become acquainted, I think you'll enjoy this corner of the web.

Perhaps you can provide some examples of cases where you think moderation was excessive. I'm willing to discuss.

And yes, it's mostely the same people that post on a regular basis. You'll find that this is common on a lot of discussion boards. We do pick up some good people here and there. Once in a while, some people just don't fit in. They don't have to spam to get banned. If they annoy the fuck out of everyone, then it doesn't usually end well for them.

We're not the most populated forum on the internet and yes, many of the regular users tend to post alot, but we've got quite a few active members. This may be a bit of a slow day.

If not wanting out forum to turn into something that rivals, oh say any given yahoo.com news story forum, makes us control freaks, then yes. Seriously, have you ever been in a yahoo.com news thread? It's pretty much the internets cesspool.

Considering that ten different users have replied to this thread since you posted it yesterday, I think it's fair to say that we're an active forum.

Also, I felt the same way you did at first; I wasn't sure how things would work out for me here. But I love this place, I look forward to visiting...and some pretty awesome things have happened to me here. So stick around for a bit and I'm sure your thoughts about us will change.

It'd be safe to assume, generally, you're disliked. Which is unfortunate. Not by anyone in particular (that I'm aware of), but by the community as a whole.

But again, you're slowly making a return to positive status. Which is certainly a good thing.

You need to understand that smiting doesn't have to occur while you post. For exampe, if Lacerda (where is that bastard anyway?) showed up 20 hours after your last post, and read what you posted since he had been here (which has been a while), he'd probably smite you. That's what the Karma system is. We didn't invent it, we just downloaded it, installed it and we like it. Frankly, I'm tired of your whining about your negative karma. If you don't like the fact that people are not fond of you, then do something about it that involves a more constructive approach than just compalining about it all the time.

What!? I almost never complain. I only complained because my karma went down by 50 in less than a day, which turned out to be a joke anyway. Plus I was half kidding anyway. I don't really care what people think of me, I can only do one thing, and that is to be myself. If people don't like me that is their problem.
