Ha-ha! The Digg "rebellion" got front-page coverage in the LA Times this morning: link.

Two things I enjoyed in the article:

Quote
One member digitally altered a church sign to spell out the code after the words "Jesus says."

My, what a clever member! HOW DID HE DO THAT?!? HE MUST BE UBERLEET!

Quote
Early this week, a Digg user posted a link to a story that referenced the so-called hex code...

That's like saying "The LA Times article is written in the so-called English language." I swear, the writer or editor of the article thinks "hex code" is some kind of edgy hacker term made up by D&D geeks.

It's like a serious-minded FARK where members have more control over content. I learned about it from BizB.

Any time that a dead tree publication tries to talk about the internet it makes me want to go burn down all the forests just to silence their demented babble.

I read Cnet's article the other day.  I support Digg users standing up to the DMCA on this one.  It's good to see the people running the site (especially Kevin Rose) respond to their users so well.  If Digg dies, I'd hardly notice, but this should be as fun to watch as the drama surrounding the Pirate Bay's fight.
