TV guilty pleasure lately
« on: February 01, 2008, 03:39:48 PM »

Lately I've been watchening Charmed.  TNT runs 4 episodes a day though, and Tivo grabs all of them.

I can't keep up.

House.

I started watching it last year when my niece was here and just couldn't miss the episode.  Damn her.  I fell in love with it.  Received season one and two for the holidays.  The wife could take it or leave it when I was TIVO'ing and watching.  But after sitting down from the start she's now hooked, and pissed that season four isn't out on dvd.  Of course season four isn't over yet.   :-P

Oh yeah I had to go buy season three last week to try to catch her up.   :-D

But I did find a great resource yesterday while looking for episodes on line.

http://www.surfthechannel.com

It's divx videos streamed on line of loads of old TV shows and movies.

Ivan is probably the only one here these days that would remember Fireball X-L5.

I think the Teletubbies should be banned from any home.  Or at least the ones where you would like the child to speak like a normal human being.

i've never seen house, mainly because everyone i know who has ever seen it has become addicted to it.  same with stuff like american idol, which i've also never seen.  people take these shows way too seriously.  it freaks me out.

I am a big fan of Lost, Chuck, L&O:SVU, The Office, My Name is Earl and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

But my guilty pleasure is Extreme Home Makeover. The good part about that is that I get two good looking girls to come over and watch it with me every week.

I stream SG1 at work and "watch" it while working.  It's one of those shows where you can follow it even if you're not looking at the video all that often.

These two are my current favorites.  I'm all caught up on Weeds, but that's another one of my favs.

SG1 is great! Or, was. My favourite eps are "Urgo" and "Window of Opportunity".

Sesame Street, Max and Ruby, Teletubbies, The Fairly Odd Parents

After 9PM, we watch Brett Michael's Rock of Love.  If that's not a guilty pleasure, I'm not sure what is.  The GF has taken up Flavor of Love 3, but I just can't commit to that crap anymore.  But I have watched the first 2 episodes so far...

I miss out on plenty. I don't think I'd even watch Lost if given the chance.

The new season of Lost has been surprisingly strong, so if you gave up sometime in season 3 it might be time to take another look.
