Heh.... good luck with that. Though I've never exactly made it a secret where I live, I'm extremely hard to track down just using the web or other ordinary channels, if all you go by is my real name.

I periodically try and track myself down once in a while, just to see what turns up, and it's been several years since I've found anything out there that was relevent to me (the actual me, not the other two guys out there that have the same name as me).

Heh. Wrong, and wrong. I've lived with my wife for three years, and I haven't had a phone in my name since 1992.

Also, none of our utilities are in my name either. I don't leave much of a paper trail... like I said, it's tough to track me down just using the web. You'd actually have to start searching public records and pretexting to get ahold of things like old leases and other documentation, and that's pretty illegal in most states.

Lol.... where is that? Linkage! $40 is a ripoff. I used to do public record searches for half that when I did background checks for people. Granted, that was a few years ago...

No... the public records search is what that company does. That's what costs the different prices they have listed there.

And in actuality, there is only so much they can legally get, without consent of the person you're researching. Here's what they'd return for the $39.95 they're advertising for that level... I think you'd probably be disappointed.

You might get my correct current address, but I have doubts about that. I don't leave forwarding addresses when I move, and I've never filled out a "change of address" form with the Post Office. I happen to know that for your hard-earned money, that's all that they do for the "address verification" on this level (check with the Post Office)... that's all I used to do when I did that for a living.

You wouldn't get a phone number.

There's no way you'd get any aliases of mine.

... And you already know my "current full name".

You'd have to be a big spender to get any more than that, it looks like... and on those levels you'd still hit a few brick walls, I think.

- Relatives would be easier to find, but there are a number of different people around the country with my last name that aren't necessarily related to me... it'd be up in the air to figure out which ones were and which ones weren't. That'd take some work.

- "Bankruptcies, Tax liens, and Small Claims Civil Judgments" are all not accessible from this kind of search in my state without the consent of the individual being researched, trust me on that one.

- Same with Marriages and Divorces

- Same with "Real property ownership and value"

... which again leaves you with "Full name", which again you already know.

On the site in question, those with asterisks are indicated as "Check availablility". In the state in which I live, that information "availability" is strictly limited by law... consent-only.
