Doctor Who anyone?
« on: June 01, 2010, 07:00:10 PM »

I was just wondering if anyone had a similar fascination with the Doctor?

My friend (and some family) think it is a little weird, but they have never really sat down and watched an episode! They don't know what they are missing!

Thoughts?

My thought are that they lowered the bar for doctor. I mean every villian is a doctor and all the people with master are doctors. they need to raise the bar. When a guy in a majical telephone booth gets a doctret I start to wonder if mcgiver has one in crazy ideas from no where. I just wish that mine comes in the mail for my masters in for geology then I will be a rock doc

but I really haven't seen the show only the commercials during Top Gear. I won't ever get to watch it because I still have 5 years of stargate to finish.

They are on the 11th doctor now, Matt Smith ........ really quite young really, especially compared to the rest. But then I thought that about David Tennant too and I soon warmed up to him! David is definately my favourite.

Is this in reply to my question, "How many doctors have there been?"

Because the correct response to that question is "One."

I love Doctor Who, I'm a big Chris Eccleston fan, but i loved tennant too and I'm starting to love smith. Emila Pond isn't doing too great, she's trying to be too sexy, and its a little disturbing. But i do like her and i hope she gets better.

I also love Torchwood, and really hope it comes back!

I do love a bit of Doctor Who or at least I did. Although I still watched it Matt Smith really let me down, I thought I'd give him a chance although he bugged me from the start but that didn't pay of too well. I love Christopher Eccleston the 9th doctor and thought I was going to hate David Tennent but ended up loving him too, I hoped the same would happen with Smith but no... :) Also I agree Torchwood is amazing too but I also like Amy Pond but maybe that's just me sticking with the Scots :).

No, I actually haven't watched enough of it to get into it, but some of my friends are huge fans.

I'm a Blackadder person. >_>

He's only done one series, give him a chance. And Emila Pond is not THAT good, her script has been mainly aweful. I think Matt Smith has grown a great deal from the begining of the series to the end,  he could be a great doctor.

I don’t like science fiction so must say that I don’t really watch Doctor Who Just seen a few episodes here and there and not competent to make any comments But I’ve heard a lot about it and it must be good to have such a fan following  With even movies being made based on the series, I am sure it will be a favourite with people who like science fictions I am sure the episode will around for a long time with the fans it has
