These guys are kinda... out of control, IMHO.
But, I don't use guns often enough to speak knowledgeably on the matter.
We have six rifles and one old Colt .45 in my house and scattered caches of ammo, but they are for home defense and scaring coyotes (yes, we have those in NC), and the occasional hunting expedition when my mother gets a hankerin' for venison. I don't think I've shot more than 10 rounds in succession in my life.

We have coyotes here too. They even have them in urban San Francisco.

Well, the .223 with the right load will still put some pretty damned big holes in things, and with a 16" barrel and collapsible stock, it'll be a pretty versatile piece.

Have you given any thought to what you're doing for a magazine? Or are you just defaulting to the commercially available AR-15 style box?
