Forum Rules
« on: May 19, 2003, 08:27:09 PM »

After some debate in the Mod Corner, this is what the managment and I have come up with as far as rules go. These rules are designed to give the average user some say in what happens to themselves, and other members if they or someone else were to break any of the rules.

1. No spam advertising stupid products or websites just for personal benefit.

2. Usage of profanity in subject lines is not allowed. Usage of profanity in posts is ok to some degree. If any of the management receives complaints about your conduct from other members, you will receive a warning in your PM box. If you still continue to do so, you will be banned.

3. Pornography is not allowed except for the Geek Girls forum. Kiddie porn anywhere on the forums is not allowed. This rule will strongly be enforced to keep this a work-safe environment. The forum administrators also reserve the right to remove any content that is not fit to be viewed on these forums.

4. Flaming of newbies and other members is not allowed.

5. Asking about hacking or any other illegal actions will result in the removal of your post and a warning sent to your PM box. If you continue to do so, your account will be banned.

6. Moderators may not abuse power. Moderators may not abuse their power to "get back at" other members out of spite. This includes changing words in a member's post to give them a bad name, changing their user title, or banning them for no reason. Changing a member's post to protect another member's privacy, or to uphold these rules is allowed.

As time goes on, these rules may be changed to fit the current state of these forums, hopefully everyone will not have problems with them and things will be kept the way that they are.
