I don't hate Garfield as much as I hate the Family Circus (don't get me started...) but I laugh my ass off at the Arbuckle Project.

On a different note, someone earlier mentioned that IT (the movie) was laughable. Couldn't agree more. The book was really good though. If you haven't read it, don't base judgement of it on the movie. It's longer than hell, but well worth the time.
I suppose it's partly my fault for being so young and accustomed to f/x as I am (not that I'm a snob; Army of Darkness kicks ass) but a lot of IT just made me laugh til my sides hurt. I think that a lot of those old movies should have just waited until the tech came along to make the effects legitimately scary the way they were written.

I'm majorly looking forward to the Gunslinger graphic novel adaptation.

I like my Dr Pepper...enormous quantities of it in fact. I tried switching to coffee but the work coffee is so vile that became physically ill and to this day get queasy around it.

Poor Arrested Development...has anyone here got Season 3 yet?

I want to see Dolan's Cadillac, the one with the teeth, and the one with the finger in the drain from Nightmares and Dreamscapes.

Well I liked The Stand (liked it so much that I kept the DVD for around 6 months), but it really did have the best material to work with. Now It on the other hand, I laughed my ass off at (although I did see it in 2003). I think it really does depend on a lot of factors whether made for TV sucks or not.

I'm still annoyed that I don't get TNT so I didn't get to watch Nightmares and Dreamscapes, which I have read and wanted to see.

Damn, nope. I think that Everything's Eventual and Night Shift are about the last King books I have left to read.

Depending on whether or not you ever touch on fractals I'd advise the song 'Mandelbrot' set by Jonathan Coulton. It's totally free, and I think he'd get a kick out of the idea if you told him about it.

Nor do I...but I was thinking about getting a barcode on the back of my neck, and then have it covered by a red -VOID- stamp. I'm also going to get a tattoo of poetry smurf.
<--- geek
That is great, I first thought Dark Angel then realized that it's a broader social metcommentary. Good job! I think if I ever get tattooed I'll get a quote from Watchem, V for Vendetta, or the Boondock Saints. The closest I ever came to getting a tattoo was the time I accidentally branded myself with a red hot nut that left a rather interesting pattern on my forearm for a time.

I finished all the PLA podcasts last night and was wondering if anybody knows of any cool podcasts that feature phreaking and humour, that sort of thing? Preferably with a huge archive of shows so I don't need to wait a long time between episodes? Thanks in advance guys.

And it didn't strike you as funny??? I can NEVER learn something about religion without getting a chuckle or two...last night at the Da Vinci code I was nearly thrown out for laughing too hard...

Hmm...I'd say it's most everyone with an obsessive interest in an atypical subject, or just an obsessive interest in ANY subject. I consider a fixated jock just as much a nerd as a computer maniac, just specializing in different fields.

Sure if somebody makes an mp3 I can write lyrics for it...I've got piles of things like that that will otherwise become freestyle rap someday, but this sounds awesome.

Yeah exactly! There was another one I remember where this cool and levelheaded creationist disproves the crackpot theory of evolution (as explained using outdated articles by a fat and screaming old man), and another one about some kids who almost say the magic words to turn them into Muslims...good times.

That's not entirely true...
That's great...I recall the bird was a real bitch in that book anyway.

Yeah, it's like your schematic says you need a a 6600 ohm resistor but you've only got a 6700, you can pop it in without too much trouble. As long as it's close you should be okay, it's more of a fuzzy distinction than that digital one I think.
