Well, some of these are particular. They were never hits. More like a niche. But I'm sure some people will figure them out by the end of the week. (I'm counting on Demo for one of them!)

The first one's obvious. Lacerda's 'Mad Bitches, Disgruntled Hoes'. The others, however, will take a little more time.

And for the record, I enjoy Chinese food and long walks on the beach.

Cheater! So, did you know all of them or was I a little too picky?

Correct. I said super easy, but that only applied to regulars. If you have no idea what it's all about, check this out (http://www.gotthegeek.com/test/content/view/20/37/).

I knew two of them. I wasn't far off with the Dead Can Dance guess.  /hint

Come on Demosthenes! I'm counting on you for Number 3!

Who summoned me?

*listens to song samples*

Sheesh, man.... I have no idea.  I don't think I've ever heard any of those, and I have an ear for music.   One of those kind of reminds me of a Loreena McKennitt song though.

Ding Ding Ding Ding!!!! Loreena it is!

Song title?

I was sure you would know about the other. Perhaps when it is revealed you'll know who it is. If not, then you'll need to download some of their stuff. Any guitar player will appreciate the l337 4rp3g330Z 5KILLZ!!!

Song 2 sounds like something out of a horror film. I have no guesses on any of them, except for the obvious one by Lacerda.

It does come from a film. Not a horror film, but one I consider to be geeky. I don't know if that's a fair statement.

It kind of reminds me of a song out of the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp (Who was scary as fuck in that movie, by the way). Maybe the opening or closing song. I don't remember, I saw it a long time ago with my girlfriend.

Yngwie just never impressed me, that's all.  He plays guitar really fast.  That's fine.  But he has no soul.  Any competent guitarist can learn to play something really fast if he/she practices enough.

But Yngwie can't hold a candle to anyone with any real passion for the instrument.

e.g., Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Frank Zappa, Gary Hoey, Ritchie Blackmore, Vivian Campbell, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Duane Allman, BB King.

Any one of those guitarists and many others are far better guitarists than Yngwie.  Fast != good.

It's just fast.

I see Eddie van Halen is not on that list.

I agree with the omission, intentional or not. All through the 80s, I couldn't fathom people's adulation of Eddie and Yngwie.

My favourite guitarist is Ralph Spright

Many guitarists were omitted from that list, but it wasn't intended to be a complete list or anything.

Though I'm not really much of an Eddie fan either.

That said, he's still a better guitarist than Yngwie.

And he's nowhere near as fast as Blind Marky Felchtone from Zeke.

I am just glad you spelled Stevie Ray Vaughan right....
