Do you have an XP setup disk? No. I bought another HP 'puter and those bastards don't ship OS disks with their boxes. I remember reading somewhere that you can get an os disk by begging microshaft, but I haven't done that yet. Yep, I hosed it down pretty good. The plan now is to get an XP setup disk, backup all of the important stuff (like my wife's 4000 or so photos), copy all of the device drivers to CD and start with a clean XP install. XP has a generic CDRom driver, so I'll be able to get everything running with the driver CD I create, right? Opera isn't an option. The wife flipped out when I d/led mozilla, so if I change to yet another browser I might as well just move to the futon in the spare bedroom. Yes, I'm too old to be using the interweb. Things would be much easier if they'd just install those pneumatic tubes everywhere.

Two bands that I'm familiar with besides the Minibosses...
(oops) Megadriver
and
The advantage
(I was quite excited by my ineffectual use of the enter key between band names and the parentheses cordoning off this sentence.)

I d/led Mozilla, but I can't get any of the plugins such as adobe acro and javascript to work. I've done just about everything suggested on the Mozilla tech support website regarding plugins to no avail.
But now, when I use IE, it will only open one window at a time.
So, I tried to repair IE so I can do online banking and things like that. I tried sfc /scannow...I tried ie.inf install...I tried editing the registry to value 0 isinstalled and reinstalling (which cost me a couple of hours when my system couldn't find winlogon.exe after restart)...I've tried editing the IE registry for multiple windows...(net necessarily in that order) and not one of these things fixes it.
Can someone help me with this? I'm running XP Home SP2 and IE 6.0.2900.2180 blah blah blah and Mozilla/5.0.
I am not worthy and abase myself in the presence of your mighty technical wisdom.

Biz, you crack me up. It's true, though. Yes, N. Korea will or will not be communist sometime during this century.

I don't know if any of you have seen this yet. I just did and I had to wipe pepsi off my monitor. http://www.jengajam.com/r/Disco-HitlerDisclaimer: If you find this offensive, I apologize. My wife's family is Jewish and my father-in-law sent me the link.

I saw this on another board, and I thought it might be fun.
THE QUOTE GAME
The Rules...
1. When it's your turn, list a movie quote in this topic. It's up to everyone to guess what movie the line was in.
2. The first person to guess correctly leaves the next quote. However, you may not post your quote until you've received confirmation from the person who posted the quote.
I'll start things off with...
"No, I'll shoot the cook. My car's parked out back, anyway."

All My Life Foo Fighters
For some reason, this song is stuck in my head. Is this in a commercial?

By some goodly amount of magic, the denizens of the this board end up in a rather large room.
Of the currently active, and formerly active but not banned or run out of town, members: Keeping in mind that I've been posting here for all of a week or so, I'll give you my impressions. Who's the DJ? IvanWho's eating all the dip? reimeroWho are you yourself most likely to be found in conversation with? One of two people. Vestpertine, because she iconed her b00bs or Cat...at least until I piss her off....either depending on who'll put up with me the longestWho's already drunk? MeWho is running around playing practical jokes on everyone? NeedlesWhich members are making out in the corner? Isn't that an end of the night thing? Who leaves together is one thing. Any smooching is going to be to a chorus of "Get a room!" otherwise.Who's walking around with a camera, taking pictures for posterity (or their secret stash)? Da Judge.

My apologies for stepping on Demo's toes on this one, but I can't help but respond to this. However, I have to admit that, while I hold the same opinions about Hussein, I don't think we had any business toppling his regime. I think that I might think the same thing about Kim Jong Il. A non-interference policy is not realistic. While I agree that the US involvement in world affairs should be less militaristic, we cannot ignore the tension and instability in an entire region caused by one nut case. History bears this out.

Also, I've opened my opinions to judgement. I've judged your opinions and found them lacking in anything remotely resembling fact. If you wish to authenticate your claims, why do so in this forum? You're simply validating your pathetic existence by drivelling your foul discontent and hoping people will be shocked by it.

...or assassinated from without. I'd advocate either method. Sounds like a job for the "shadowy government."

Sam_Fan,
You are the worst sort of sensationalist fuckwit. You profit from tragedy when you find other weak-minded individuals to endorse your a priori view of the world. You disgust me.
Be gone, and take your distorted solicitations for validation with you. Better yet, have them etched on rebar and shove them up your ass.

Ya know, I really don't get it. Why would anyone subject themselves to that kind of punishment? Oh, wait...he's 14, right? I get it. Because he can and no one is going to tell him he can't.
One of the IRC channels I've op'ed had a true fan one night. The "woman" was all over every man in the room and no matter what we did "she" kept coming back. Another op traced one of the IP's to an all-boys school in England. We e-mailed the logs to the headmaster the next morning. We never got a full report on the outcome, but I would've given a toe just to see the look on the boy's faces when confronted by the school administration.
Perhaps we can get in touch with buttbandit's parents via their IP. I can see the conversation now. "No wonder little jimmy is failing health class. He's taken up with...those people."
