I know what you mean about your eyes jumping around. It's really bad when you start to read ahead in class and the teacher calls on you and since you're ahead of the teacher she thinks you're not paying attention.

My sister took debate in High School and during your opening arguments in debate your goal is to read as fast as you possibly can, mainly so that you can get as much information in as possible but also so that your opponents have trouble taking notes. So my sister can read out loud really, really fast.

I can vouch for the Artemis Fowl series as well, it's a great series and it's definately fun to read.

I  somehow managed to have a Blackberry surgically placed on my hip, and I am reachable via email most hours of the day.

You must be more flexible than the Chinese to read a blackberry stuck your hip.

I can answer ivans question :-D

Ok. the layout of a QWERTY keyboard is the same as a layout on a typewriter.
Like the actual computer the Keyboard also contains a microprocessor

You lost me right about there.

Oh and welcome.

Forget about wires, i wanna know how it works with wireless! I suppose it could be magic, but i've never had to say any magic words to my PC, i'll admit i've said a few curse words to it but that's it.

Last night i was lying in bed thinking "It's pretty creepy how i can be downloading stuff right now with my laptop over a wireless connection, i mean nothings connected to my computer! How the heck does it get stuff onto it!" Then i think my brain hurt really bad so i went to sleep.

I was just reading the Snopes what's new page and allegedly he was supposed to say "Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren’t smart, if you're intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq. Just ask President Bush."

But i as i was poking around Snopes and i saw something that definately made me laugh out loud.

Entertainment / Re: Fantasy Congress
« on: October 29, 2006, 07:57:38 PM »
Yeah, i know i was just kidding. In a previous Gov't class (Last year i was at a different school and you only needed a half-credit of it to graduate) we had a debate on whether or not the lawmaking process should be streamlined. I was against streamlining the process and i did a lot of research and said stuff like obviously the founding fathers believed that laws needed to be thought through so the people wouldn't get screwed over. I had a lot of really good stuff but the other people were popular so even though they said the dumbest things in the world the class still voted for them to win...i hate high school.

My cat doesn't respond to a name, although he has trained me to respond to "Meow, meow meow, Meow Mew."
Although i tried to call him "Lucky" for a while, which was probably what made him snap.

New Geeks on the Block / Why hello there!
« on: October 25, 2006, 02:19:14 PM »
Hi there, i used to be a member of "Hackernetwork" but as of late it appears to have disappeared. I remembered that people mentioned the geekery sometimes so i decided to check it out.

My name is Timothy I'm 15 (16 this November) and i like computers and stuff. I like to avoid internet shorthand if i'm not instant messaging because reading "OMFG tahts sooooooooo funny LOL!!!!11?!" makes me want to slit my wrists. I'm in 10th grade and i like online gaming and offline gaming and doing other fun and exciting things.

I lurked for a while at HN before introducing myself, mainly for fear of being flamed and flogged mercilessly but i decided to dive in head first this time and start contributing to the funny.
