I prefer the term "experienced".  :-)
That's what my uncle told me, too.

I probably wouldn't interpret it that way if the two of you didn't have those particular facial expressions. :P

seriously? people actually do that?
Or here's another favourite. Imagine a full table, and I have a small card showing. Everyone passes so I can get that ten to bust, and then the same idiot who was splitting tens hits on his sixteen, takes my bust card, and the whole table loses. /facepalm

I should really quit being surprised by the rampant stupidity in this world.

I've been out of college for years to "figure" out what I want to do the rest of my life. The problem is, the more of the world I see, the more subjects I'm fascinated by. I think I'm just going to make a wheel with all sorts of different career choices and play career roulette.

Two weeks ago, I started my new job as a blackjack dealer in some fancy casino. For the most part, it's enjoyable, but there are definitely a few things that make me want to scream. Here's my continuously growing list of things I'm starting to hate about this job:

1) I wish people would realize I have no control over the cards that come out of my shoe. Rest assured, magical powers over the chance of card combinations is not a prerequisite to getting hired as a dealer.
2) I don't WANT you to lose. Does it look like I keep that money? Guests are drunk. Drunken guests who lose get angry. Angry drunk people are NOT fun!
3) I love how I'm a "sweet, little girl" when an older man sits at the table, but when he leaves because he's lost, I suddenly become a "dumb bitch."
4) Half the time when you lose, it's not just because you have bad cards... it's because you don't know how to play. HEY LOSER DON'T SPLIT TENS WHEN I HAVE A TEN SHOWING!
5) Don't tell me you've got kids at home to feed to "motivate" me to give you good cards while you're gambling $300 per hand. I might actually want you to lose for being such a pathetic excuse for a person. Go feed your kids, I didn't make you come here to gamble.
6) Quit touching my cards! I get in trouble when you do it, so when you want to split, just put the god damn money down and move your hand away.
7) I'm tired of people who keep trying to cheat. It's a casino, they actually spend weeks training us to watch for that, you fucktard.

Eh, my list is longer but I still have to go to work tonight- it's best to not remind myself about all the bad things before going there, heh.

Your avatar actually makes me think of the Kushiel's Legacy series, by Jaqueline Carey. Honestly, at first glance, I thought it was and was extremely excited. :(

Regardless, welcome and all that jazz.

I play World of Warcraft until my eyes bleed.
This.

Or I read, try to pretend I have a social life, or am an asshole on the internet.

I'm not sure you need another tank in T4 gear.
I actually just meant roll an alt for good times. If you're interested in playing your warrior, then we can talk. I'm actually not going to raid on my warrior in this guild, as we're trying our best not to bring in overgeared characters. It sort of defeats the purpose of rerolling if we all bring over our t5 and t6 geared characters to "start" over.

Anyhow, if you're bored, roll an alt. Guild chat's retarded and intelligent at the same time, every other line is an inside joke nobody ever actually understands, and it's actually almost a requirement you be a geek to join the guild. Ask Foo, it's good times. :P

Cause for some reason the other night on the sexy time voice chat, my mic made me sound like an underwater demon possessed robot.
It was funny as hell. The vent channel has about, oh, 10 or so people and we're all just chatting incessantly about stupid shit when out of nowhere, we hear this monotone, muffled, static-y voice that really did sound like he was underwater. And so now he's ROBOFOO forever.
