I had one, Xena...a little teddy bear hamster.  Cute.  She had a hamster condo too, complete with a piece of wood, rocks, and other structures in a large box(she never chewed through the ccorners as I had rocks in them). and my cat never attempted to jump in there.

Women have longer fingernails though and they get caught in the  back of your throat and you try and do the tongue move too reach back there and get it.  And lets not talk about the hair.  You go to the can the next day and think "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!"
