QOTD:  What did you have for breakfast?

We made muffins yesterday, so I had one of those on the way to work.  And when I opened my soder to take a sip, it exploded all over me!  Waahhhhhhhhh!!!!

That's okay, you're not alone.  I'm wearing a large portion of my first cup of coffee from this morning.

MUST OWN ITEM:

Those little things really work well for the stains I've tried it on (including coffee).

I had a banana and some gatorade.  No time to make a smoothie this morning.

By 'breakfast', did you mean the "in the morning meal", or the meal you eat after you first wake up? I wake up at about 5:00pm, and don't eat anything; except maybe some Vivarin. But I go to bed in the mornings; usually after I eat something. Which would be your 'breakfast', but my dinner.
I had two steak/egg/cheese bagels from McD's yesterday; two CHEESEburgers from Wendy's today. The day before yesterday I had scrambled eggs and grits, at home. The Dog had dog food, and a small morsel of wood (his choice!), the Ferret had ferret food and a fingertip's stripe of Ferretvite, and the Cat had some cat food, a side dish of a few bugs, and most of a small bird.

Nope. I still maintain to this day that my parents where hippies. That's the only logical explanation.

QOTD:  Do you know where your name (your real one) came from?

I think I was named after the song by the Beetles.  My mom was very sure that I was going to be a boy and they were going to name me Michael.  My dad wanted my name to be Bernadette if I was a girl.  My mom was so sure that I was a boy that she agreed to that.

But I came out with the female parts and when they asked what my name was...my dad wasn't in the room.  So she quickly changed me from Bernadette to Michelle.

It's christian, there's million peoples named "john" or one of his deviations.

My last name though dates back to a knight in the 12th century. According to he story he owned 12 farms in and around the town of Brakel. His  great great great great grandson donated a glass-stained window to the church of Utrecht. That's about it.

That's interesting.

As long as we're doing last names...my last name is the name of a small town in Italy.  When they established the mail system, everyone in the town took the name of the town as their name.  It's about 20 miles north of Rome so I really hope to go there someday.  Take my thumbs up with the town sign.

As far as I know, Saint Paul.

Although I'm the IIIrd, so it may just be a new "tradition".

First Name:  My mom had already given birth to 3 boys and my dad wanted a girl.  Mom was sure that she was carrying a boy.  Dad said, "If that's not a girl, I'm a monkey's uncle."

Little did my dad know that when my mom was a small child, one of her favourite toys was a little stuffed monkey named Peter John.

Last name:  My last name means "Keeper of the inn by the crossroads" and we've traced it back to the 1500s.

Peter is from the Greeks meaning Rock.  Which is what I do.

Shepherd, goes back forever meaning tender of ruminants.  The olde english was schyaferd or something like that.  My brother in law brought something back from England to my parents esplaining all of that.

My first name was my great grandpa's. I think my dad really liked him and wanted to keep the name Otto in the family. Schwarzmiller means blacksmith in german. Fitting as the family trade before immigrating to America was blacksmithing.

But his last name was Maddox.  IMDB just has Harry Dean down as Bud.  What, he didn't rate a last name?

Why Catrina? Not a clue, though my dad wanted to name me Louise after my mom. Thanks for winning that argument, Mom.
