Look at you, hacker: a pathetic creature of meat and bone, panting and sweating as you run through my corridors. How can you challenge a perfect, immortal machine?

Makes absolutely no difference to me. And I wonder what makes people irate about it.

Underneath.  I don't know why it annoys me either.  But it does!

What day of the week is best for cold calling companies asking about jobs?

I'm sorry, but the number you have dialed is imaginary. Please rotate the phone by 90 degrees and try again.

None?

I've never had any luck with such activity.

TP Fu?
It doesn't matter, either way, the kid is gonna unroll the whole frickin' thing.

Cold Calling?

A good way to piss an employer off and get in their "Never Under Any Circumstances" file and possibly even piss them off enough to add you to the international blacklist and never be hired for work again, anywhere.

And the hospitality and food/beverage industry to that. And in our case, Monday. More people quit on Sunday in hotels and restaraunts.

Still, cold calling is... bad tactics.

And you know why so many quit on Sundays?  Well in the restaurants it was all the people who came in after church.  They never tipped, ran the servers, and were basically just holier than thou assholes.

The only time I've ever heard something like that being successful is walking on to a construction site with tools in hand, "I heard y'all was hiring; I'm here to work."

Calling me asking for a job, even though the main office or the business agent told you to, is almost a sure fire way to not get hired.  Unless of course I know you or have worked you before.  And the two don't always go hand in hand so it still helps to come see me.   :-D

Come by my job site.  Let me look you in the eye.  Let me ask you a few questions.  Then I'll take your name, number, and craft.  If I need someone then or shortly afterward you might get hired.

First impressions are the ones you don't get back.

If I were hiring, I'd much rather hire an individual who is actually ready to work (ie., here I am on the job with my tools) than someone who can't be bothered to get out of the house - even to find a job.
